This is a condensed version of all my ML Blogs.

Through all the pain. joy, suffering, defeat and victory in my life, You were there to guide me and support me. And I say Thank You and Sorry for all the misgivings that I have done in my life.

NOTE: This is not (read:NOT) a modification of my previous thank you post. This is an all new, revitalized version of the thank yous and I added the reasons why I should say sorry..

Now, we start.

1. Twisty (Carlo Miguel Castaneda)

THANK YOU: Because you owed me a lot into my life, dude, You changed me and transformed me into a person what I am now today, I became clear to my Life, and I knew my bounds and my limitations, Thank you because you became my first real and true bestfriend since I entered the anime biz and also here in lyce. I was so fortunate to have a bestfriend like you, I was really fortunate.

I was there during your highs and lows, I was there all the times in your life you needed someone to talk to, You were there when I was also in my lowest point in my life. I never expected this to happen. A spark in our friendship.

Dude, I owe you a lot in this year, and even more next year.

SORRY: Because I was a freaking dog. Yes, I was like a dog tied to the master because I was always following you, Because I was experienced to have a friend like you I didn't knew my limitations, I am so sorry I hounded your life. even your relationship. I was so sorry.

I am sorry because I text you a lot of nonsense, but that's because When I text, It meant that I care for you, and all my textmates, I really care, kahit na nanghihimasok na ako, still I felt the urge to text you because I care for you and I worry for you dude, So I am sorry for all those texts.

OVERALL: Thanks for everything., I really am inspired to do more on my next phase of my life.

2. Synth (Louie Severo)

THANK YOU: Because you were a trusted friend and a source, I thought you were already poisoned by the idealisms of the evil forum, I was wrong,. You provided me backup, you provided me the help, you provided me the information and you provided me everything to understand the insides of Anime. You were also a Loyal Kapamilya, targeting and defending the truth and conquer the wrong.

I was glad to have a friend like you, because in the end. I will still believe you. both as a friend and as a source.

SORRY: Because I never understood you that why you were always following me. I was quite complaining about it already that instead of my bestfriend who always text me, It's always you, In anime events, the first person you want to look up is me.

I am so sorry for treating you as a nobody in my life, because I know, that for two years, I believed in you.

OVERALL: I will be a working as a friend if you need a friend, and a source if I need information. because I have high trust in you, Extremely High Trust.

3. Shorty

THANK YOU: Because alongside with Twisty, you made me a better person, I knew the outside boundaries of my life and You made my mind clear.. You also made me something..

Thanks because I explored a friend who is different from me.

SORRY: Because we always disagree a lot, I mean disagree A LOT. We always clash and fight, I thought that fighting with you is right, I was wrong.

I became alone, nobody wanted to talk to me when we always fight..

I am sorry, it's just a clash of opinions that we always disagree.

OVERALL: I hope we always see the light of day, everyday.

4. Anje (Angeline Lopez)

THANK YOU: Because you taught me how to become strong willed, You regained my Self-esteem and I was so surprised to hear you, At first, I thought I was all too alone, but thanks to you, you gave me a perspective other than me or Twisty or Synth did to me.

Thanks because you accepted my mistakes and my wrongdoings, and your criticisms changed me.

SORRY: Because I was reluctant to heed your advice, I was not ready to accept everything that you said to me. I was like, pasok sa isang tenga, labas sa isang tenga, because I don't accept painful critiques.

But now I wholeheartedly accept all the pain of your criticism one by one. in order for me to survive.

OVERALL: Thanks a lot for the year, This year proved to me as the trial year for my life, with you, it became smooth sailing.

5. The Marauders (Maeka, Laine, France and Jho)

THANK YOU: Because you all provided me the security of a friend, You made my life completely rewarding because you were the ones who gave me the true definition of friendship.

Thanks because you accepted me into your lives. and you effectively transformed me into what am I today.

SORRY: Because I never met you all in the first place, I was longing for friends who will accept me, protect me and defend me..

Sorry too if I wanted to join your club, I just don't want to be left out.

OVERALL: This year proved to be exciting with you guys,, so I have to say, Taralets!

6. Paolo (Paolo Demapelis)

THANK YOU: Because you became an alternative to my Bestfriend, when he's not replying to me. Dude, You became an alternative to what I call as a sparky friend. You were like Twisty, and I hope Twist's guidance (and me too) will help you in your life as a friend.

SORRY: Because I was not there in your trying times. I was too late to know you, and now, I'm making up with that losses.

OVERALL: I believe that by being on yer side, dude, i know, you'll make it, Just believe, and with some pushing from me and everyone else, You'll definitely make it.

7. Rochela (Rochela Bugarin)

THANK YOU: Because you were my first friend in Lyce, You gave me the best ideas and things that I never found in my other classmates, You were the first person who understood me through all the hard times in my life. You also gave me a chance to win, even if I never did it, to the Lyce Ko To awards.

You inspired me to achieve the impossible.

SORRY: Because I was not there to join ya in your quest, I stopped for a semester and that started my eventual fall, But I know with you along, You will help me cope up with our studies.

OVERALL: I hope we work together in A302, and that will be possible.

8. A302 Class

THANK YOU: Because you guys supported me. You felt me as a part of your family, even though I am not a part of your section, you opened the doors to your section and allowed me to go inside, to share our knowledge. to update ourselves with the latest and yes, to unite as one.

Thank you because you really accepted me as your classmate.

SORRY: Because I was not in your section, I was not given the chance to learn the "real" lectures (Like Sir Dan Villa, and Sir Wally Labajo), I was not able to show off my hidden skills, in that way, I felt that a loss is in my head, a loss that is forever be incurable.

OVERALL: I wish there are more slots to be opened in your section!!!

9. A303 Class (Note: not all of them, I repeat, NOT ALL OF THEM)

THANK YOU: Because you opened the doors to me and became your classmate, we shared our knowledge together and did our projects together, I know that I had a very fruitful first semester with you.

SORRY: Because you were JERKS, You have shown what a BROADCASTING STUDENT SHOULD NOT SHOW. You were Noisy, true to the perception of other people that all broad students are noisy, Some of you were not quick to grasp the knowledge our professors gave, and ultimately, YOU NEVER COOPERATE MUCH!, that's why we always are LEFT BEHIND!

Sorry if I had to say this, but this is what I see from your section.

OVERALL: Change for the better, and I know you too won't be left behind.

10. Sentinel Staff

THANK YOU: Because you were my 2nd home away from home and school, I did my job as a reporter and as the Associate News Editor for one and a half years, and I think I never failed you guys,

Thank you for all the advice, the tips and the learning, the Inuman and the camaraderie, I will miss you guys, definitely.

Ate Cha, Ate Ehdz, Ate Kate, Ate Ken, Jonats, Fish, Aiza, Kla, Kat, Berns, Atorni, Chris, JC, Jace, Fafa Ramir, James, Jeff, Ate Beryl, Jonah, Ate Elha, JJ. The recent new recruits, and especially, Sir Gil Santos, our Technical Adviser, Thanks for the one and a half years.

SORRY: Because Sometimes, I never follow your orders and I always am reluctant to follow your orders, I also become a little angry when you always berate me when it comes to the articles, I know I needed them in order to do better, but It took the toll in my mind, Inner Kira has said "Stop it,"

OVERALL: I know that the Paper will run even if there are challenges, I know, and I am certain, you will make it even without us.

11.(Last but definitely not the Least) Team WTF?!

THANK YOU: Because you took care of me after I left the other forum, You accepted me as a member of the group and made me a part of your family, I will never, never forget the events that we have attended for the year, and I know we will savor more of that because I am sticking to Team WTF?! for the rest of my life.

Ate Tel, Kuya Noel, Kuya Ryan, Kuya jojo, Anj, Des, Vec, Jemire, Momo-chan J, Juunich, Ehm, Yoru, nyao, The WTF?! Show Team, every member of the WTF?! Team, Thank you because you made me felt as a Kapamilya.

SORRY: Hmm.. because I was acting weird in front of you guys, I suppose? If I did anything wrong, I am already giving my apologies in advance.

OVERALL: I have already said it, Thank you because you made me felt as a Kapamilya.

Dude:

Okay, I know you are definitely pissed off at me, I know you are so angry at me that you're going to kill me right before your eyes, I definitely needed to talk to you but your moves and your actions tell that you're definitely not ready.

I know my mistake, I have prayed all over for that, but still, I really can't think that the reason behind this was my annoying SMS Messages, Have you ever forgot the way we talked and bonded through SMS messages? I think masyado ka nang nakulitan sa akin, pero kung nakulitan ka na sakin, you have already told me to stop beforehand, I think way earlier.

I have heard from a common friend of ours here in Lyce, you told that I am stalking you, okay, I admit, I always follow you, every step of the way,but I did this because I need you, I needed you as a friend, a brother, and adviser, you advised me a lot, and everything you have said to me, I followed that, dude, I never thought that the way you already think of me is now a stranger, a person without a name,

When we talked through SMS the last time, you backed me off, you wanted me to disappear, it's like you wanted to kill me and end my life here in this world, You wanted me to just don't remember I have helped you in almost everything. I really am upset, to tell you the truth.

You also called me by my last name, I hated it, it's like you never called me "Kira" or "Red", yeah, that was the most depressing moment in my life that I almost wanted to post a suicide note in here and tell everybody "See you all later in Umagang KayGanda or TV Patrol World, Let Gretchen Malalad or Doland Castro explain it for me"

Dude, I just want to ask you, What was my problem? What was the reason why you hated me so much that you wanted to punch me in the face? Tell me!, I am ready, my body is ready, and my mind is ready to face you, even if you kill me because you definitely wanted to kill me, fine, But remember, I never wanted to be your enemy, I only have one enemy, and that't the Forum that I hated most, but now, they are going to be happy because you are going to punch me to death.

Remember this, You may punch me in the face, or in any part of my body, but I will never ever give up on our friendship, Everybody looks up to us as the epitome of a not-so-perfect friendship. The first time we never talked, I was hapless, The second time, devastated, now, this is the gravest of all our disagreements, And I never realized too that some people will feed stupid information just to break our friendship, and some people definitely will stab you at your back, telling to keep a secret but no..

I remember one of your words in your blog, it touched me so much that I have to create one post the day after you posted it.It was like this.

"Best friend. Anbu. Dude. Without you, there'd be a bit of a void in this life of mine. You're the one who listens to me regardless, you let me vent my frustrations on you. And you know the solution to my depressing aura (Pepsi, lots of it). I'm learning from you too, you know. Its 'cause you're around that I know where I want to be."

I was so touched, and I replied to you..

"After I read your post, I went Aghast, Really, The only thing I noticed changing was...myself... I didn't know, nababago na pala kita (I was already changing you), dude. Thanks for all that you have done to me, And I am sure this will not end in just one phrase like "Thank You". Because We will still be bestfriends whenever, wherever, Kahit Saan, Kahit Kailan, Maasahan, Naglilingkod sa iyo, Saanman sa Mundo (naks, ABS-CBN News)"

And just recently, I just posted in my first insight.

Now, I know that once you have read this, and also thought over it, I am praying to the Lord that you should be touched by this, I will go to my mom's church on Sunday to pray you, I will call the 700 club later to counsel and help pray you over. We want our friendship back,

I don't care anymore for any gift in the world this christmas or new year or even my birthday except for one.

To bring back our friendship tainted by other people.

I have A Bad Feeling About HeroZone

Today, ABS-CBN will release their new programming lineup as part of their newfound aggressiveness on the Mega Manila Ratings game.

And As I see it on the PDI Ad yesterday. I sense that, Yeah, Yakitate, Cha-Cha and Other Classics will return in the morning schedule. but how about the AFTERNOON?

Like. ABS will be premiering it's new movie block "Pinoy Movie Hits" later with Sigaw as their premiere offering..

But I checked the issue today...erm..Where is HeroZone?

I mean, the Weekday HeroZone Block?!?!?!, The Law of Ueki and Eyeshield 21!!!!

I thought, it is still part of the schedule, but my scare has come for the worst because ABS-CBN is not airing Weekday HeroZone plugs for the past 2 days.

And. The Movie programming runs for 2 hours max. so this means, After the movie comes the Wendy-Bruce teleserye starrer "Margarita"

I have a bad feeling. Has ABS-CBN Removed weekday HeroZone again as a sacrifice for their aggressiveness on Mega Manila?

Is the ABS-CBN Afternoon Anime Slot always become the target of Charo Santos' Chopping Block??!

WTFH is Charo Doing!!!!

Paging ABS-CBN : Mobile Suit Gundam 00 in 2 years

Maybe after the hooha of GSD two years ago and still on-Air on ABS-CBN..

I think ABS-CBN Execs should get this latest Gundam Franchise after it airs in Japan in effect to call them "the new home of Gundams"

This will be the first Gundam Series to be broadcast in stunning 1080iHD. And possibly ABS-CBN will (i wish) air this as the First Dubbed anime to be broadcast in the same format.

Come on, with the advent of ABS-CBN Broadcasting in digital, Nothing will be impossible come they acquire this breakthrough series.

And yeah, The characters in their flightsuits made me remember of AmDriver. But as i say. Cannot judge until I see the series itself.

I wish that ABS-CBN Digital will air this first. then HeroTV in Digital too.. Probably around 2008-2009, preferably October (in time for their anniversary)

And yeah. the dubbing cast should also be great. Gari Ang was great in GSD. I wish a more greater Dubbing Team will handle this masterpiece.

For now, I will wait the first DVD volumes of this series by the time I reach 19. hehehe

And one more thing, Next time.. it should be placed on Primetime..preferably like... the Japanese 6pm Saturday slot.. Remove Komiks. please!

KW AfterCon - The 6th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention/ KW Events Anniversary [DAY 1 ONLY]

The 6th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention was held last June 16 and 17 at the Megatrade Halls 2 and 3, SM Megamall, EDSA cor. Wack Wack Drive, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.

(what a opening statement..)

Of course, the hype of the 5th Toycon was still fresh in my mind. Because that event was my baptism of fire to all the anime events. So this Toycon marks my First anniversary in the realm of Anime Events. And I was sooooo glad that I celebrated it with my kafams in the WTF..

Arriving at the event area a little late (about 11:15am) with Twist, The noticeable sight of people were not seen. (probably because we arrived late) But we met with Shorty who also lined up to buy the ticket which costs Php70.00,

Entering the con Area., we first searched for the WTF Booth, after we rolled over the 2 Megatrades. we found Kuya Ryan (or Kuya Bear), Ate Tel, Eloisa, Kuya Joel, Ate Ehm and Jelo who were manning the booth and having their Lunch. Later, I also saw J, Jemire, Jake, JC, Desiree, Vec, Momo-chan, Taki, Mardel, Aslan. and much more later, Khal, Nyao, and Anj and all other WTFR's who went to the booth to join and help with the promotions for buying goods.

Of Course. Ana of LAG joined us as well and made some pics during our roaming mode in the event area which was presented by Globe Broadband, PSICOM, Alaska Milk, HeroTV and, very intriguingly, ABS-CBN (very ironic that Globe and ABS-CBN joined forces again after Halalan 2007)

The Individual Cosplay competition was the moment of the day as many people were lined up and cheered for their cosplay idols and awed at the most delicate and intricate costumes. For the 2nd time, I was made J's videographer apprentice. So to those I made angry because I was in the front.. I am really really very sorry! I am just only making some good angles. hehe. but Again I'm really sorry..

Anyhow. After the tiring Cosplay Competition which was joined by 116 magnificent cosplayers (I also saw a Francisco School Alumnus doing Cosplay as well). I donned the costume that Jemire wore. the Sasquatch costume. And definitely. with much admiration. I wore it even I felt so super sweaty and have to squat all the time. I may have a backpain. But it sure is really fun especially when Kuya Ryan, Twist and JC "killed" me. hehehehe :D

The night fell and also done. I, Twist and Laine headed out to the MRT to go to SM North. They headed for home while I waited for my Mom and my 2 sisters in the mall. After the event. I sent Text messages to all WTFR's in my cellphone and thanked them for my 2nd Toycon and looked forward for another year of Events with, of course, my new Kafams, the WTF Cosplayers.

Final Words and Acknowledgements

This Toycon marked the 1st year of my invasion on all anime events. And I am so glad that In a year. Everything changed. I now really believe that everything can really change in a short span of time.

In a year. I made new friends. Removed old foes, and marked another legacy to be filled up. I am very much happy that I will be joined by my new friends and become part of them no matter how good or bad things will come into my life.

Again, I say this another time.

Two Days Left, Four Days to Go..

School's fast coming and another 10 months full of you know, hardships, difficulties, and yeah. dilemmas.

And what better way to start a new school year are Dilemmas..

A Dilemma which will test my ability to Judge and my ability to whip out things in a flash..

You may know that I have already 6 straight days of classes. Mondays to Saturdays. and that is really a damn thing to me..

I really wanted a really flexible schedule particularly on Fridays and Saturdays, because they are considered to be convention penultimates and convention days. particularly Saturday.

But. to no avail. It will be one of my heaviest semesters to be. maybe next to the expected heavy OJT on Summer 2008.

And that will test my ability to whip out things in a flash..

So my school starts on Thursday. and that starts my 10 days straight of leaving the house.. because of ToyCon..

And yeah. Toycon will be on Saturday and Sunday, and ABS-CBN, surprisingly, is one of the sponsors..which they will do for the first time since the two Hataw Hanep Hero conventions.

The AfterCon of the 6th Toycon will be on June 24, 2007

KW Personals: Resignation to Zen Otaku Honbu

Today marks a new chapter in the never ending saga of my life. I find it hard to do it. And I find it hard to think about it in any other way I can..

It's a rainy Sunday. and I never thought. that the rains that pour down in the metropolis signaled the start of a new dawn and a new beginning..

Let me share to you. My Announcement.,.

To my Dear friends in Zen Otaku Honbu:

Almost 2 years ago, I was invited by my forumite friends in the old ABS-CBN Forum to join a new forum. This was because ABS-CBN Forums went down for some technical glitches. They invited me to join an invision-made board named Zen Anime HQ Boards.

I became one of the pioneers of the forums. alongside the Three main admins, Anime Kabayan, Kuya Jamibu and Tetsugaku-sha. I presented myself to become the moderator of the still-fledgling forum. They gave me the request and from thn on, I beame the most senior of all moderators in the forum. Even though I was young then (at 16). I took the job seriously and I became loyal to my superiors and set my example among members.

I never knew, that from the time being, Zen Otaku Honbu was Evolving. I became a part of that evolution. This evolution made me form a part of me and also, made me what I become today.

I initiated what could be the firsts for ZOH: I became the first to use non-traditional forms of advertising to entice more members. I initiated the goodwill meetings with other anime forums, I steered the EB's of ABS and, now, Zen Forumites, I made possible the first EB of an anime forum with a renowned Dubbing Director/Actor, I became the first to introduce ZOH in Anime Events, and I began the first broadcast of Zen Honbu Reports.

All these firsts that I have done should not only be credited to me. I should also give credit to the Administrators and my co-Moderators who really do their best to make all of these possible.

But, as what the wise people tell. All good and happy things must, and will, come to a gratifying and, sometimes, surprising end.

I never knew that this is the most difficult decision that I have done in my whole life. More than what I have done in my home, school, work, online or non-online things. I get the feeling that maybe, not all people will want to do this just because of indifferences. But aside from that reason alone, I have other plans.

I want to mature as an otaku. I want to explore new things beyond me. I also want to look at new opportunities and to look beyond what is like behind ZOH.

I am now telling to you, that, Starting the 2nd of June, 2007, I shall now bid goodbye to my home for the past 2 years. I am officially resigning as a senior moderator and will leave the 161-member strong Zen Otaku Honbu. I shall rededicate my life, love and work to a new family, for which I am not at liberty to tell you now.

I know that some or all of you maybe surprised or may not acccept my decision. But I have carefully decided and thought over my decision. I consulted my inner thoughts and my ability to discern things. Moreover, it is me who will only step out of the door of the forum. I do not wish for more people to step out also and join me in my chosen endeavour. I need not a defection. My resignation is enough already.

I thank all of those who were with me for the past 2 years of my stay in ZOH. To the administrators, Anime Kabayan, Kuya Jamibu and Tetsugaku-sha, for giving me guidance, advice and wisdom. For being there to aid me. and for giving me the privilege to become loyal to you. You are, definitely, the right persons to magnify the ideals of Zen Otaku Honbu.

To my Former co-Senior Moderators, Genjo Sanzo and Soulassassin547. Thank you for assisting me in my job. And for being one with me in all of what I have done. Thank you for all the help. It was, really, a grateful experience.

To my Junior Moderators, especially to my own trusted Junior Mod to which I trained to become the rightful heir of me. Pinoy Big Narutonian. Thanks because I was there to guide you and clear you up of all the wrongdoings the members made. I really wanted to show you more. But, really, It is now time to bid farewell.

To the senior and junior members, newbies and other stakeholders of the the ZOH Forums. Remember that I left behind a legacy to own you all. I left but I do not wish to end it in here. I may be ambivalent. But I have my legacy rushing to the forum. My deeds (as a moderator) will definitely haunt whatever you do evil (to the forum). So, I wish I do not see anymore of that.

And, to the one person I shown my views and secrets with, to the one person who really is my partner, to my Loyal Friend Synth. I'm really really sorry. But I really really have to do this. I found a new family. I have found my real bestfriend. But I am so very thankful thatI met you and shared my thoughts and given me valuable information. I hope you never stop doing this to me, even as though we are now parting our ways. And remember that I need not a defection. Do not follow me anymore. I will move along with my new bestfriend and my new family. But, I say, Thanks for all of what have you done for me.

Let my resignation be the First and Last one to happen In ZOH. I don't want some other members/mods to follow me. I did this because I have a purpose. But to advise everybody. If you think you have a new home to set foot unto. Think twice before you enter. I already did that, and that's why I'm leaving. To mark a new legacy to be filled up.

To cap off all these things that I have said and written. I leave with no anger, and I leave with full of memories. I leave with my principle intact, and I leave with an impression that Zen Otaku Honbu is really a place where the best minds gather for the best Ideas in the Philippine Anime Scene.

May Zen Otaku Honbu be a pillar in promoting awareness and in setting the trend in the advocacy in Philippine (specifically, Filipino-Dubbed) Anime.

KW AfterCon - Mangaholixx Manga Mania

The 19th of May was not any Typical Saturday, First off, it was the Saturday after Elections, so the COMELEC and NAMFREL results of the Senatorial and Partylist elections were the first find among the newspapers that morning. The Proclamation of Pampanga's newest Governor, Fr. Eddie Panlilio, The Maguindanao Election poohoo, the Dong Puno vs. Ruffy Biazon Congressional Fight in Muntinlupa, and some Proclamations went into the frontpages of the Day.

But anime fans considered the 19th of May to be another day which will mark another history in Anime Events here in the Philippines. It was in this day that Mangaholixx Magazine was launched through an "animangaming" event called Mangaholixx Manga Mania, held at the Biggest Mall in the Philippines and in the whole of Asia, SM Mall of Asia's Music Hall.

Your coordinator, along with my Bestfriend and Cosplayer Twist went at the Mall of Asia about 20 to 30 minutes before the gates were opened. Also seen was Zen Otaku Honbu Coforumers Synth and Moonlight, Shorty and WTF's Ate Ehm, along with some folks from FC. First glimpse of the event area. This will be too noisy and so coincidental.

Why? Because a Remote Broadcast of Eat Bulaga's Taktak Mo o Tatakbo is going on. If we could measure it right, EB is broadcast on GMA, and M3 is Presented by HeroTV, which, we know by heart and soul, Owned by ABS-CBN. But let's get off the issue of that.

Anyway. The event was also sponsored by Fully Booked, Oishi, Q Powerstation, Comic Alley and, surprisingly, a First for them, UniversiTV (Owned jointly by Zoe Broadcasting, which happens to jointly own QTV with.... guess what, GMA Network!, and Estima Content, which produces the Morning Gagfest "HaPinas" which also airs on QTV, UniversiTV Airs on UHF 33, Beyond (SkySilver, SkyGold and SkyPlatinum) Cable Channel 5 and Global Destiny channel 98 .) which was with HaPinas Host Joaqui Tupas getting the attention of the convention-goers and share their own jokes and read Tongue Twisters.

First Hours

The First 5 hours of the event went ho-humm,. yeah, ho-humm. Although there were already cosplayers donning their costumes, getting pictures and waiting for the catwalk.. The first 5 hours of the event was, really, at most "ho-humm".

Not to mention the guesting of one of Culture Crash's Pioneers, Taga-ilog which DeviantArtists like Twist grabbed the chance to ask the question on why CCM "died".

The Music Hall was beginning to become Jampacked as more and more people and more and more cosplayers attended, The people began to swell at around 11 to 12 noon, And the people who will watch the EB Live via SNG Broadcast made also the people around the Cosplay Registration booth swell in huge numbers. probably to shade in the basking heat of the sun.

Anti Kapugo Sentiment/We Saw Lyceans

At around 2 to 4 pm. The people were now beginning to swell heavily the small Music Hall (Told Ya the Music Hall can become a Megatrade if Jampacked). The cosplay competition was going to start at that time and Team Zen Honbu composed of Tetsugaku-sha, Jinademaru and Kuya Jamibu already arrived.

As we skip other moments, I interviewed Members of Soul Society Philippines (the one Twist joined, a compendium of Bleach Fans) and, as what a true freelance Anime Journalist can do, asked their reaction and heard their resentment on the Dubbed Bleach aired on GMA (A Note to Angelo Crisolo, told ya that they suck, that's why you lose to Ueki's wrath). I also joined with the WTF

Some notable cosplay acts were Kuya Noel on the Sasquatch costume, Kuya (er..este..PAPPIE 46 THE FUTURE! because of the cosplayer number, 46) Bear, Jemire as Zombie, J (MatrixShino) as Yaiba, Kuya Jojo as Cell from DBZ, Jelz as Haru, Des(Deathsumi) as Doraemon, Yoru and Wolbo.

I also saw, of course, Ate Tel, Anje, Nyao, Vec (DarkWish), Momo-chan and some other WTF members which I never met.

Before the indiv cosplay ended, A surprise went into me, It was my Broad Classmate Clark Trinidad with a friend from Asia Pacific College. I was definitely surprised Clark went to the event and cordially showed him the Cosplayers Area. to the delight also of Twist. Clark said to me that it was his first time to an event. Well done Clark!

As night falled to the event, So did the attendees which were eitherway Tired, worn out or wanting to stroll along the big mall. I never saw Kala perform anymore nor returned to Team Zen Honbu. I went with Anje, Shorty, France, Jho, and Twist to Timezone to have some helping of Boom Tarat Tarat...este..Videoke pala

The event ended and so did the fireworks, Also the winners were announced. A Big Congrats to all of them!

Final Words and Acknowledgements

After the event, We strolled down as one team and proceeded to Teriyaki Boy, but I, Twist, Shorty and France went home already because we still need to catch the last train to EDSA.

The Event may look like as extraordinary. but by the looks of it. They chose the Wrong Place and They held it at the Wrong Time.

But to cap it all off. I must say...THIS IS UNEXPECTED.

No no no.. it's not the Rie Tanaka song that is also part of the GSD Soundtrack. I'm using the title of the song because of some events that happened...

I won't budge in any more. I am completely fed up with the words stuck on my head. They may be there to go to the event. but please. No more "Mr. Nice Person look" to me..

I left them early, I really left them without knowing my plan..They may look ordinary, But from the guise of their faces. they look bothered. They look bothered because I bothered them, and that,,yeah, bothers me too,, They never knew that from the time I packed my bag..I've already left them.

Before, I always go home with them.. especially with one of my trusted associates. But now. this has changed. This definitely changed..

And I never knew. from the time being..I have found new friends. I have found my true and real calling.. I have found myself in the midst of my new life,. my new hope..

A newfound chapter in what I call, the Never-ending Saga of my Life...

And that's only the start...

KW Personals: Life Change

And yeah, Month after our anniversary, some life changing events went on..

1. The ABS-CBN April Coup> This you gotta hear, 47 percent versus the 35 percent of all other competitors, nationwide!

2. Return to MMORPG- yeah, thanks to Twist, I returned on playing MMORPG's, and The latest addiction of me,. Flyff.

3. Babaye Fafi Arjay, Anje and Chris Unggkey - I know this won't be the last time we'll meet. hehe. Im just here, your Loyal Kapamilya on the Go!

4. Anje and Twist's April Celebration (which was, incidentally, the WTF EB at Megamall) - Yeah, KW was there to cover, and KW was glad to be at the frontlines. and giving you my account.

5. 3/4ths left - I was disheartened when I never went to Egames Dom1nation last 28th, ergo, 3/4ths left of my life and I'm off.

6. Summer Stupor - Being in charge of the household made me more nuts than good.

7.Limitless Opportunities - I am wishing that no such stupidity will enter my mind once a person who carries me up..

8. Time Flies - It's really fast, 7 months to go, I'm 19. and all worn out.

9. Halalan 2007- I will only watch the ABS coverage, GMA will do it no good.

There are some of the life changing moments in my life, There are more, and I'd be glad to post it in here in Personal Space.

KW Personals: I'M USELESS, I'M WASTED, I'M HOPELESS, and I'M READY

DISCLAIMER: To all those who will be directly or indirectly affected by the words I'm going to blurt out in the succeeding paragraphs, I'm already apologizing in advance, I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry., But I have to do this to move on.

Last Friday, I was deciding on going to an event, I was thinking heavily, Although I am already sensing that I may not go., still, I am optimistic to go to an event like Egames Dom1nation.

And then, There came the Big day, but Yeah, the worst happened.

I WAS NOT ABLE TO GO TO AN EVENT, And even if it's a minor event,. I have to go to that event because I am the Event and Field Operative., But my title went into a waste, A useless pile of words they put it on me.

What happened last Saturday is what i call a sense of STUPIDITY and USELESSNESS to myself. I became Useless. I stayed at my house, living with my absurd neigbors, I want to go to the hell of the absurdity. I want to become free. I want to go out. But my parents never let me go.

But the thing is, Nobody supported me, I was not supported by my whoever I may call them. I dunno what Am I going to say, but I have the feeling that I was not supported because I am thinking that They have the nerve to go to an Major event and then they wont go to an minor event! HOW CRUEL!!

And the other thing I hate. This life for me is not just, I have been challenged by my own alter ego to change the tides. To change the position of what my mission is.

Thanks to them, I only have 3/4ths of my life now. I have struck 2 and 1/4ths of not going to an event, Even if it's a MINOR EVENT, I HAVE A PERSONAL OBLIGATION TO GO,. IT'S A PERSONAL CRUSADE AND A MISSION.I MUST GO TO ANY ANIME OR GAMING EVENT, WHETHER MAJOR OR MINOR (Circumstances Apply)

So what If anybody gets angry at me? So what If I wont go to their damage control? SO WHAT if I sense another absurdity next time I saw them? SO WHAT??

I cried, I never slept, Even a helping of Gundam SEED Destiny on ABS never solved me. Even thinking positively made matters worse, The things I thought was...IM HOPELESS, IM USELESS, IM JUST SO........WASTED

I know what Am i saying right now, And I really know., I know a few persons who since the time I write this, I felt comfortable, BUT THE FEELING OF BEING USELESS, BEING HOPELESS and BEING ANGRY..

Now, Im more pushed to go to the ends of an event, EVEN IF IT'S A MAJOR OR MINOR, I WILL HAVE THE COURAGE TO SCOUR AND TO GO TO ALL OF THOSE EVENTS. BY HOOK OR BY CROOK..

And if they show themselves in a major event, It's now or never, Im hating them for good. But I won't leave my job behind and my loyalty.

Because for one, I still am grateful to three persons who gave me the chance to become what I am

Now that the damage has been done, The event is over, All has been said, I am so hating on what will be the after-event observations, OBSERVATIONS that I SHOULD HAVE SAID, I SHOULD WITNESSED and EXPERIENCED, AND SHOULD I HAVE BLOGGED TO YOU IN KW AfterCon, And yes, As I hear the aftermath of the event, The salt has been added to the wound. And not only a pinch, but a WHOLE TON OF SALT HAS BEEN ADDED TO MY OWN WOUND,

Im affected because I never went. Im affected because MY PARENTS were the reason why I never went, Im Affected because Financial Matters failed me, Im affected because Im a FAILURE TO MY TITLE, AND TO MYSELF both as a Person, As an Otaku, As an Convention Chaser and As A Forum Member.

Im crying, Im losing my self composure. Im angry, I all have my inner hate and anger feelings inside me, Im not feeling well, Im not OK, and Im not ready to accept damage control. And Im ready to die.. Lest the 3/4ths of my life is in my hands. It's me against the knife.

And Im not kidding to myself.

KW Anniversary: WTF?! EB, 21-04-2007, The Account

It was Saturday morning, I woke up at an more earlier pace than what I usually wake up for my GSD Rituals, But that Saturday morning was not the usual Saturday morning that I really do..

Because last Saturday, 21 April 2007, Was Twist's birthday and a WTF?! EB.

And I really went up early to prepare myself for the event, because Twist is one of my new friends since I went back to school. At first, I thought I will never find a new friend who shares my passion for Anime other than my Trusted friends from the Honbu and my Broad Classmate Rochela.

But when I saw him during the Org Recrutiment Week (in which he also happens to be the de facto President of the LAG). We never split up and, as they say, THE REST IS HISTORY (much more like the way we started this Blog or when we delved into our first con).

Even with our Friendship had it's own ups and downs and we have our own personal problems. We managed to get hold of our own situations and also help each other in our own problems.

(wait, am i being sentimental? Let's get down to business, shall we?)

Anyway, I got out of the house at 9:45 am Skipping a phase of GSD on my schedule. I arrived at the mall, although newly opened. was full of commotion when I saw that there was a fire that gutted the St. Francis Side of the Mega (ie. Back of the mall)

I went to CA at the still scheduled time of 10:30am. but I was too surprised.. "naka, wala pang tao sa loob ng Comic Alley!" I thought to myself.

Synth was next to me after finding a probable WTF'r inside the "hotspots", Greenwich and TimeZone.

After 15 or 30 minutes of waiting, The Birthday Boy arrived at the mall with his sister Katrina. And after them, We saw Ate Kate (of Senti), and then Jake, and then the other birthday celebrant, Shorty, the WTFR's starting with Fafi Jojo and Ate Ehm, then Chris (unggkey), JC (wolbo), kunebitt, and the other members Team WTF like Ate Tel, Kuya Noel, Fafi Arjay, Jason, Des and Beck, Anje, Jemire, Kuya Bear and the other WTFR's I forgot to mention because of time constraints of writing this Blog.

And the activities. well the usual eating of food (and that's Greenwich, ^_^ ) at the Foodcourt and with the special participation of the newly-released Gringo Honasan while waiting for the Pizza because Gringo happened to Campaign in Mega and ate with some of the Supporters and the Media as well

Then there were the TimeZone playing, for keeps, having my own helping of Time Crisis 2, the Purikuru shots, and reserving a room for the Karaoke session. Then went to Club Synergy but was later bucked off by a bunch of weird bullies and hiphoppers who were also waiting for a "clan meet" or something.

And then Toy Kingdom for the toy window shopping before going back to TZ for a Round of Macho Guapito and Salamat.

We went home at 7pm, but before we went home, We grouped together for a Kapamilya and Kabarkada moment

When I went home (after joining Twist and Kat at SM North), I really forgot what the day meant, It was a birthday of one friend who really shared with you your innermost feelings and your anger in life. A friend who went with your trials and defeats and successes and victories.

And, yeah, a Friend who you will not only call him only as a Friend, but a True and Real Bestfriend.

Kira’s World 15 (15 April 2007) What is ABS-CBN doing with TMNT?

In the light of the recent programming coup of ABS-CBN particularly in the daytime schedule, one change made anime fans almost angry to the respected network.

Thursday, 7 March, ABS-CBN aired commercials for their newest offering on the HeroZone block.

No, it’s not anime, it’s an American animation and, yeah, tagalized.

ABS called it the “resurrection” of a legend. It dubbed in their commercial cues that the series “returned”. It really is, in fact, ABS-CBN’s precious “Freddie Garcia Gem” that lorded Friday night blocks in the 90’s

It is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)

The anime fans went irate when at first; they thought TMNT is going to cancel Naruto over the 1730 slot. Zen Otaku Honbu was quick to analyze the impending cancellation because

ABS-CBN has 2 Kristine Hermosa Shows airing, one is the ongoing rerun of Pangako Sa Iyo, the Other, the Sineserye remake of “Palimos ng Pag-Ibig”
There were no impending cancellations over Inocente De Ti, Kapamilya Cinema and, yeah, Pangako Sa Iyo
Naruto was (feeling) quite lonely when Beet ended and replaced by Pangako Sa Iyo and that made the ratings suffer than the usual.
No words of replacement from the Network Management.

As quick as they drew fire over their “Hapontastic” block, they immediately showed a related ad of the block clarifying that Naruto won’t be cancelled and instead, moved it in an earlier slot of 1730 (was it early enough?)

KW Take on This

Now we go to our Take on This segment

As a loyal kapamilya viewer, I sense that ABS-CBN is in such, in a hurry to use the afternoon block as ballyhoo for the Manila Analog and Digital station. The ballyhoo is to mix up and destroy the Manila Block so that the Provincial linkup will be bombarded with damning local programs, countless early timeslots of ABS-CBN shows from Manila and other countless reasons to destroy Anime in the lineup. Which is why, ABS-CBN was keen on moving GSD on the 10 am slot on weekends so that it won’t be shown on Sundays in which ABS-CBN has a boxing bout to cover from the US.

I don’t see the “reform” ABS is doing to effectively capture the Market, Even with the best minds there is to shape up what is now called Hero TV, still, ABS-CBN is not keen on pursuing the market they thought was just a kid’s market. ABS-CBN is not doing every step it can to effectively capture and target the Otaku market which they think is for premium subscribers only.

The good thing that ABS aired GSD before the Bleach deadline only turned bad because GSD is a prime program. It should be placed in a prime spot because of the content and the market it can reach. Although this is already the nth time I’ve been doing this, still, I ask to ABS-CBN, it is not too late to air GSD on the said prime spot.

For the return and “tagalization” of TMNT, I say, It is not bad to give back the blessings that the show gave to you in your heyday, but please, come think of the recent situation wherein Anime now leads over American Animation. It will only make your ratings suffer more than what you are experiencing right now.

As for the almost close cancellation, ABS should make their decisions wise not only for the otakus but for the viewing public in general. Picture Naruto as an afternoon pastime not by Otakus but by the public who supports it and I’m sure. This USTv winner sure is one for the win, not only in ratings but in the hearts of Filipinos.

But this is my project in Filipino to think about,, This is the speech i made for my "talumpati" for our subject. This may wake-up in the present situation of the current anime doom, not boom.

Isa akong Anime fan. Hilig ko ang panonood ng mga ito sa aming telebisyon. Partikular ako sa panonood ng de-kalidad na anime at sa istasyong ngapapalabas nito. Ngunit mayroon ng mga problema ang humaharaharang o kung hindi man ay sumisira sa pagpapalabas ng Anime. Hangad ko ang maiklaro ko ang lahat ng mga patutsada at bira ng mga taong higit na kumakalaban dito. PAGLALAHAD

Bago ko sasabihin kung ano ang mga problemang hinaharap ng Anime sa kasalukuyan, Ipapaliwanag ko muna kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng Anime, ang pagsisimula nito sa bansang Hapon at sa buong Mundo, at ang pagsisimula ng isang rebolusyon sa Pilipinas .

Ang Anime ay isang ekspresyong Hapon na ang ibig sabihin ay “any and all animation or cartoon - regardless of the genre, style, or nation of origin. Outside of Japan the word "anime" has come to refer specifically to animation of Japanese origins” ayon sa Anime News Network.

Sinasabi naman na nagsimula ang Anime kay Ozamu Tezuka, isang obrero ng pabrika. Dala na rin ng kanyang imahinasyon at panonood niya ng mga cartoons ni Walt Disney, ay sinimulan niya ang “Astro Boy”. Ang istorya para dito ay ibinase niya sa kanyang manga (komiks na gawa ng hapon). Dahil dito, dinadakila na ngayon siya ng mga anime otaku (fans at supporters ng anime) at tinatagurian na ngayong siyang “ama ng anime” at dito nagsimula ang isang rebolusyon na magtatagal hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Sa buong mundo, nito lamang dekada ’70 hanggang ’80 lamang umusbong ang rebolusyong ito. dahil na rin sa mga anime na katulad ng “Mazinger Z”, “Mobile Suit Gundam” at iba pang mga “mecha” anime o anime na may kaugnayan sa mga robot. At dito rin sa taong ito nakalasap ang Pilipinas ng unang tikim ng Anime.

Nagsimula ito noong 1979. nang ipalabas ng GMA Radio and Television Arts ang “Voltes V”, at dito na nagsimula ang kabi-kabilang pagpapalabas ng Anime. Ngunit natigil ito dahil sa isang proklamasyon ni Dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos na nasgsasabing “bayolente” ang palabas na ito at maaring makasama sa “pamilya at lipunan”. Ngunit ayon sa Anime News Network. Posibleng itinigil ito ng diktador dahil napakamalapit ito sa sitwasyon ng Pilipinas noong panahong iyon.
Ang pagpapahintong ito, ayon kay Marlo Magtibay, isang anime critic/commentator,sa kanyang website ang lalo pang “nagpaalab ng puso at damdamin ng mga Pilipino”. Kaya noong napaalis ang diktador noong 1986, nagbalik na rin ang kalayaan sa pagsasahimpapawid ng mga obrang ito. “Nagsimula ito sa ‘Daimos’, ‘Transformers’, ‘Macross’ atbp. sa hawak ng gobyernong networkna IBC-Islands TV 13 at RPN channel 9” ayon sa isang anime commentator na tatawagin nating si soulassasin.

Nagkaroon ng lay-low ang anime noong 1987-1989 hanggang sa lumabas ulit ito noong 1994, sa pamamagitan ng TV network na ABS-CBN ang “Julio at Julia” na idinirehe ni Danilo “Danny” Mandia, isang beteranong radio talent. Naging malaking hit na ito dahil ito ang kauna-unahang anime na gumamit ng Wikang Pambansa bilang boses nito. At ito ay sinimulan ng Dating Pangulo ng ABS-CBN na si G. Federico “Freddie” Garcia.

Dahil sa rebolusyong ito, lalong sumingkad ang anime sa Pilipinas mula noong taong 1994 hanggang 1998. Nagkaroon na rin ng bagong trabaho ang mga dating radio talent bilang mga dubbers. At ang mga istasyon ay gumagawa na rin mga hakbang para ang anime ay maging parte ng pang-araw-araw na kultura ng Pilipino. Noong panahong ding ito naging sikat ang “Zenki” at “BT’x” ng ABS-CBN

1999, Bumalik ang Voltes V na may moniker o pahaging na “The Biggest Anime Series Comeback of the Second Millennium” , Bumalik ito sa dating tahanan na GMA 7, kasama pa ang mga anime na “Gundam Wing”’, “Gundam G” sa GMA, at “Tenchi Muyo” at ang pinakasucessful na ”Neon Genesis Evangelion” sa ABS-CBN. Naging parte na rin ng network war ang Anime dahil sa kabi-kabila na paglalagay ng schedule nito sa programming ng dalawang network

Noong panahon na nagkakagulo na ang Pilipinas, taong 2001 ay nagkaroon ng isang malaking pagkauhaw ang anime dahil sa Impeachment Trial ni Dating Pangulong Joseph Estrada. Kabi-kabila ang coverage ng dalawang network para dito at talagang nasakripisyo ng husto ang anime.

Mapunta tayo sa kasalukuyan, 2004-2005. Ang anime ay hindi na kasing-tindi mula noong naging kalakasan nito noong 1994. Kahit na sabihin na natin na naging maganda ang taon para sa anime, hindi natin maiiwasan ang mga kabi-kabilang problema na nararanasan ng anime. Una na dito ang pangaalipusta ng isang anime na tinaguriang napakaganda. Ito ay ang “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED”. Pangalawa, ang panggagamit ng isang network para mapasakamay ang isang maitim na hangarin na manguna. Pangatlo, ang paghihirap ng mga anime dubbers ngunit hindi sila nabibigyan ng kakauting pagkilala. Pang-Apat, ang kakaulangan ng rekongisyon ng anime club At panghuli, ang pagpapalawak ng kulturang Tsino at Koreano.

PANININDIGAN

Paniniginanin natin ang mga problema at ang mga kaakibat na solusyon na dito. Ang unang paninindigan ukol sa “Gundam SEED” ay mahalaga, Ayon kay Magtibay. Ito “ang pinakamagandang Gundam series sa panahong ito...”. Maaring hindi kayo sasang-ayon dito sa sinasabi ko, ngunit ang kalabang anime na siyang nagpalabas ng mga tirada at patutsada na paukol dito ang sumira sa magandang anime na ito. Ang anime na ito ay mahigpit na lumaban sa Gundam SEED, at nagwagi sila. Kaya hindi malayong maging kapwa-Pilipino rin ang sisira sa rebolusyon ng Anime.

Pangalawa. Ang panggagamit ng anime ng isang makapangyarihang network upang maihangad ang kanilang patuloy na pangunguna. Ang network na ito ay tilang sadyang “inilulubog sa sariling mantika” ngayon. Sa kadahilanan ng pagpupunyagi ng isang Kapamilya na ihatid ang anime para sa nakararaming manonood sa pamamagitan ng HERO TV. Nalubog sila. Sila rin ang nanguna sa pagapapahaging na sila ang anime. At sila rin ang awtoridad ng anime. Nasaan na ang pagiging awtoridad nila?? Wala!!. Nalubog dahil sa pagkagahaman at pagiimpok ng mga programang sisira sa anime at pagkikipot ng airtime para dito. Ika nga ni Magtibay sa kanyang weblog, “Sa palagay ninyo ba, nasa inyo ang pagiging OTORIDAD ng anime? Inayos ba ninyo ang buhay ninyo?Hihintayin ko ang sagot ninyo... Basta ako, hindi ako nagkulang sa pagpapaalala... Pero ayaw ninyong makinig... Iyan tuloy ang sinapit ninyo... Kasalanan ninyo iyan... Mahirap bang gawin ang mga pinakikiusap ko sa inyo?”

Pangatlo, ang paghihirap ng mga Anime dubbers para sa kanilang rekognisyon o pagkilala. Kilala natin sina Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Edu Manzano atbp. Ngunit kilala nyo ba sina Jeff Utanes, Michael Punzalan, Wendy Villacorta-De Leon, Blair Arellano at Katherine Masilongan?? Sila ang mga boses sa likod ng mga paborito nyong mga karakter na sina Kouya Marino, Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Uzomaki Naruto at Haruno Sakura. Hindi natin sila nakikilala dahil kulang sila sa rekognisyon at pagkilala. Maalala natin ang isang lathalain sa Abante Tonite noong Mayo na hindi sila nakakatanggap ng sapat na pasahod, benepisyo atbp, Ganyan din si Megumi Ogata. Isang kinkilalang dubber sa Hapon, Ayon kay soulassassin, Kaparehong-kapareho ang sitwasyon ng mga dubbers sa Hapon nang dito rin sa Pilipinas. Kaya marapat lamang na kilalanin, respetuhin at tratuhin natin sila bilang mga artista na rin dahil sa kanilang ginagawa na para mahiatid ang puso ng karakter na ginagalawan nila.

Pang-apat. Rekognisyon ng mga anime club sa mga kolehiyoat unibersidad. Ang lahat ng mga otaku ay nagsumikap na magkaroon ng dausan ng kanilang mga sentimyento at hinaing. Pinilit nilang magkaroon ng anime club sa kani-kanilang mga unibersidad, May iba na naging matagumpay. May iba na nasira. Ngunit isa lang ang gusto kong maipahayag sa araw na ito. Dapat ay maihanay ang mga anime club bilang mga kasapi sa mga college-based o school-based organizations. Mali ang gustong iparating ng mga kumakalaban sa anime na nakakasama sa pag-aaral ang anime. Mali rin ang paratang na ang mga anime otaku ay pabor sa kaharasan. Ang paghaharang na ito ang di malayong sisira rin sa pag-iisa ng mga anime otaku sa buong Pilipinas.

At Panghuli. Nakakasawa na ang pagpapalabas ng mga Tsinobela at Koreanobela sa telebisyon. Ito ang siyang pangunahing dahilan ng pagkasira ng anime. Ang mga iskedyul nito ay pilit na inilalalgay sa mg sagradong oras ng anime (5:00 – 6:00NH). Nakakasawa na ang ganitong pamamalakad ng mga Ehekutibo ng mga istasyon. Gusto kong sabihin sa araw na ito. Na ang mga anime otaku ay hindi isang minorya lang. Kami rin ay nagkakaisa at nakikibahagi rin sa lipunang aming ginagalawan. Ngunit nakikita rin namin ang bawat galaw ng mga prorgrama sa Telebisyon. Kaya ipinahahayag ko na dapat magkaroon ng PANTAY-PANTAY NA REKOGNISYON SA ANIME!!

This is the story of a Guild that I Truly admire, even though it may sound a Bit strange to create a Blog post about a Guild that may sound Strange because of it's "kabahuan" yet we are calling ourselves as... E B A K, mga FUFU, Eto na ang hinihintay nyo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why They are named EBAK?? Is it because of the Members and the GM's who confesss to be "fufu"???? or because We are too stinky to challenge others???. Strangely Enough,, it is none of the two.

EBAK Came from Four guilds, Estrus, Bamboo, Astronix and Kawayan,, Who bonded themselves to create a guild which is far better and far more stronger than their predecessors, It's predecessors in the Loki Guild are Immortalz and Virus, which, for me, are the Two best guilds in terms of "kulitan"

The first time EBAK Saw action was just last Feb or Mar, I think, Since then , It has been handled by the 6 most powerful and influential but Funny Guildmasters and Consultants,, Namely:

Fafa Reggie (Eigger........., BS)
Fafa Mark(fujimarcus, BS)
xxxnostradamusxxx (Main GM, Knight)
`oiram` or Sojiiro (2nd Main GM, Monk/Assassin)

I joined EBAK Through Fafa Smoke (Kuya Ian) when I was 74, It was a Stroke of Luck because it was Siege time and I was in GM Nos's Guild, After the siege, There was a major re-org of the guild because of the breakage of the agit in Geffen, After 2 days, I posted on the EBAK Forums about my feelings on the guild re-org, I Said that "it was the guild that experienced me the best friendship that i experienced", too bad and many of Our guildmates are now experiencing the worst thing that's ever to happen, And that Is Quitting

Thanks because I was able to know and meet friends whom I can express my inner thoughts. my inner emotions and what my opinions are in the recent issues that plague the pinoy anime industry. Thank you for being there, for being open in our exchange of ideas when we post in our forums or in our blogs. I just wish that all these ideas of mine. My opinions and expressions won't go into into a sham of waste piled up in a wastebasket.

To The Doll House yuri group, again to windracer, synth, Ate Colleen, Mikan-sempai, tetsu-sempai and to Alianne, Ate Flor and to Dillian, They were the ones whom I should say as very much, The best group I joined. I said to myself during the tumultuous time of July that if i chanced the Sentinel, I be realizing the mistakes that I have done during that period (later..). Thanks for all the tips. for all the assignments and the pointers, and sorry if at one point I disrespected you, never followed your orders and became angry with some of you, I'm just still new, I'm am still adjusting because of my anime path and career. But anyway, you were not only my bosses, senseis or sempais, You were my adopted Kuyas and Ates. (credits also to JJ and Ate Honey)
To the one club which I will only join for my stay at the Lyceum, the Lyceum Anime Guild, to Sempai David, Bryan, Joseph, Ana, Shorty, Jiea and to Carlo or more commonly known to me as Twist. Yeah, we may seem inactive, we may seem as an NPA(non performing asset of Dean Norby :) XD :P). I won't promise, but when you leave the LAG (I think I will be joined by Kenji and Jiea in handling the guild when you're gone), I will do my best to continue what the LAG will be, to be the Center of Anime Excellence in the Intramuros area. Thank you for showing me that I am not alone, I am not fighting alone for my advocacy, Thank you for being there, and thank you (andami naman) for giving your trust to me. Like I said earlier, I am not promising to you, but I will make LAG an institution at par with other universities' anime orgs.
I am thanking Twist again for introducing me to new friends which are the WTF cosplayers (segue: thanks to FilCosplay, to Sempai Sephiroth for telling us the plans and points on making an event. We will try to make these pointers as we try to make the big one here in Lyce.). Although I have made some acquaintances with some cosplayers courtesy of windracer, (thanks if you trusted me during the Toycon and Ozine Fest-NCC 2006 during the GSD group cosplay). Nothing could replace the acquaintance that I made with the cosplayers courtesy of Twist during H3 2006 and, during the eve of my birthday, the UP AME Matsuri 2006(which I will discuss to you later on after this long post). Although I only know very very few of you like Keno and Yoeru, and I do not know the majority of you. Still, I am giving A big big thank you, definitely, because you made a big boost to our advocacy in Zen and made it more accessible.

And yeah, to Twist (again) because you became my comfort when I was sad. You became my best friend here in Lyce, Nobody can replace your Ideas, your visions (really?), your artwork (cool, hehe), and your humor, I became much more than an otaku, really!

Also. I am giving my thanks to 2 persons which shaped me. First is my fave dubbing icon, Sir Michael Punzalan. He was the dubber of all dubbers, an A-class director who helmed my ever-fave Gundam SEED and the one who voiced Kira Yamato. He was a big awe to us when we met him last 25 June. And I appreciated everything. I mean everything even during the time that the "issue" broke out, Still I am so privileged to talk to an Icon like Sir Mike Punzalan, bon voyage!

And to my only one, My Lacus Clyne, Arabel, It's been 2 years since we last met, but hey. I still remember you because you are bubbly, your face is so charming and your ideas are terribly more than anyone I knew. I hope that we meet again, someday. Maybe at a convention, perhaps!. :)

As I turn 18 today, I realize that I am definitely not alone. I have friends to lean on and to fall back on. I have my family and relatives to support for me. I have my professors and teachers to guide me. And more importantly, I have my Lacus and the Lord to inspire me.

Again, I'm saying this for the nth time already. A BIG THANK YOU , BECAUSE MY LIFE IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT ALL OF YOU WHO MADE ME A PERSON.

As we celebrate our 2nd year, KW is very much delighted to tell you that for the rest of our monthlong anniversary celebration, This will be our Personal Space. I will make at least 10 Posts for this month alone and this ma include some profanities or some hatred. hehe

But yeah, Friendster will be temporarily on Halt because we want KW To be the herald not only of anime, but of my Life.

We will return to Friendster when May comes, but on a different level

Here is my stand on Anime

1. anime in ABS is good,, but, sad to say, they lack in NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE, means to say that,, they either lack in FUNDING to uplink anime via satellite or THEY JUST DONT WANT ANIME TO BE NATIONAL

2. GMA's Animes are DOWNRIGHT MEDIOCRE, meaning,, they use the mediocrity of the filipinos to say that THEIR ANIME IS NO.1 AND USE THE SURVEYS TO WATCH THEIRS... HOW SAD AND HOW TRUE

3.Badly, NO ANIME IN ABS SURVIVED GMA's ANIMES BECAUSE OF THESE like Gundam SEED and Yu-Gi-Oh,, primarily because of..
a. loss of promotion
b. no provincial output

This is about on my stand,, these are only my comments on the suffering anime industry today...

Kira's World AfterConvention: Ozine Fest 2007

The next convention after the PSICOM convention 2007 was the much awaited Ozine Fest 2007 Held at the Megatrade 2 Hall at the SM Megamall, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City last 01 April 2007.

At the start, people were now crowding the entrance of SM Megamall Building B where I was situated alongside with our friends at WTF? Cosplay Team to which I'm embedded in. The euphoria became more intense as people lined up the 5th floor of the Mall and, albeit it was a Palm Sunday and a Mass is ongoing in that part of the mall, Crowds and crowds of people lined up to buy tickets and those who have already bought the presold ones lined up to enter the hall.

As expected, the lines of people outside turned into crowds that filled up the largest of all Megatrade halls, Ticket estimates show that around plus or minus 5000 people attended one of the most awaited anime events for 2007. So many that the tickets that were presold before the event and the tickets that were sold that day ran out and the event team reprinted more tickets impromptu. That suggests the intensity of the event that is considered to be one of the most awaited next to Hataw Hanep Hero and the Toy Convention.

The events were, of course, the traditional and ever awaited Cosplay competition, Breadpan Eating contest, Yakult Drinking Contest, the Ponta Drinking Contest, SD Gundam Force competition, Speed Drawing Contests, Band Performances and other contests and performances. Sam Concepcion, Jet Pangan and Stephanie Cuevas also guested at the convention to promote the upcoming anime Beck from HeroTV which was the principal media partner of the event.

And speaking of HeroTV, I talked ambushly to Sir Eric Go about what Anime Kabayan told me in the YM earlier before that he thanks Hero TV for the respect that they did to AK specially in the early broadcasts of the ABS-CBN-owned channel. Sir Eric told me in reply that he is watching our Small YouTube broadcast which is a true testament of what ZOHNeTV has already made it's appeal and respect because of no nonsense and truthful delivery of local anime news and info especially to HeroTV.

Although we have no pics or vids of the event. I made some poses in some snapshots done by the members of the WTF Cosplay Team. I also made another rare opportunity to be the Assistant of Matrixshino of WTF to cover the Individual cosplay competition which was joined by a whopping 211 cosplayers (which, by the way, we never expected so as the Ozine and Event team as well.) joined by some Doujin cosplayers. and the Group cosplay competition which was joined by 10 groups (and rooted for the GSD Group ^_^).

I also made to the point that I join the rest of the Zen Honbu Kapamilya which was there at the event like synth, pinacolada-neko, moonlight bomber, tetsugaku-sha, mikan, nagi, shin18, joes, windracer, tomoe, Lan of Otakuzine and other Zen Members who which we never saw because of the different times of which we entered the hall.

After the Cosplay competition and bonding moments with the WTF Kapamilyas, the results were announced and, thanks to the efforts of Fafi Jojo and the group. Fafi Arjay won in the Individual Cosplay Competition as Hitusgaya Bankai of Bleach. Congrats from Kira's World

And although our Zen Honbu resident cosplayers like Moonlight Bomber who cosplayed as Matthew Luke Laonglaan of the continuing fanfic "SNW: Suikoden Pilipinas", Windracer and Tomoe never won, I sense that in the hearts and voices from Zen Honbu, they won with deep admiration from the Home of the Exclusives.

As we end another AfterCon report, let's just summarize that this year's Ozine Fest is truly one for the recordbooks for having the "largest" of this and "most" of that, but never forgetting their target which are the otakus which are also true loyal readers of Otakuzine, Many thanks to the Ozine Staff, Dennis and Bryan Uy, Erica Gonzales and the Ozine Staff (especially Lan or John Ray Perez) for another year of bringing a well established and successful event, I'm hoping for the best next year, at Ozine Fest 2008.

Kira’s World 15 (15 March 2007): AnimaxGMA Fans plan to lose their loyalty

I received reports last 20 February and it was a link to a blog of Otakuzine’s Senior Editor, Erica “EK” Gonzales. I was so surprised to hear that, in her own words, she is planning to jump off the fence and change her loyalty from AnimaxGMA to other networks. What a big surprise indeed adding Ms. EK to the roster of former Kapusos who jumped off the fence of other channels.

But she meted conditions on her part in effect to change her loyalty to them, and they are:

1. You probably redid all the music, and this being the Philippines, with plenty of capable bands, that's cool with me. (Really, some of the Engrish in the originals were atrocious.) JUST DON'T MAKE A MESS OF IT.
2. I SURE hope you got a few Fil-ams to do the Minami siblings. People who can really TALK IN GOOD ENGLISH!! NOT carabao English, or Digimon(does this mean that EK herself hates the ABS dubbed Digimon which AnimaxGMA Acquired late last 2005) English, please!
3. I do hope Koyuki is sung by a nice singer person.
4. Of course, a great translation and dub on the whole.

Going back, let us now go to another aspect of the branding the Network creates for the Pinoy Audience, I saw another link coming from my source and it led me to the AnimaxGMA LJ group. And there was one question that came in from, who else, EK Gonzales herself!

I'd like to open up a little discussion: How are you guys liking the events Animax (AnimaxGMA) is making up nowadays, and the overall personality the station is now starting to have? For one I do appreciate the way they are showing they are for teenagers, and that people who watch their station are rather, erm, classier. However, they have to watch they do not alienate the lower class, fans they just may lose to the rival (Hero-ABS) station, being more accessible to the average Pinoy.

That’s true Ms. EK AnimaxGMA is only targeting the sosyals and the sosyal climbers (quoting RS Francisco during the Live AIDS Monologues, Social People or Charity Workers?)

It’s good that AnimaxGMA is targeting the two sides of the coin. GMA airing anime in Fil-audio (thanks or no thanks *deal or no deal music* to their partners like ALTA [which produces the celebrity-sucked Bleach and the sucked versions of Samurai X and CCS] and Telesuccess Productions]) which targets the C, D and E markets with crappy reruns and celebrity-dubbed chaos and their English-dubbed counterpart who targets the cabled and satellite-dished homes (courtesy of another Ally, Dream Satellite TV of Tony Boy Cojuangco)

But to get the ire again of the critics, here is an anger message to Fil-audio.

Yeah, me too. I like English dubbing better than Filipino because it sounds nicer. ^^; I do feel like Animax has a solid fanbase because of the the anime choices, but if you're an "average" Pinoy viewer, you can't help but think that the events hosted by Animax is somewhat out of reach.

To think, that is a shrewd opinion. Not like this one who foresees the end of their longtime god, albeit his liking to the sucked-up English dubbing of AnimaxGMA

Also, you must tell them. I watch Animax because primarily I like their choices in anime, and the English dubbing is on the whole more to my liking. But I do realize that my taste in anime is half-otaku (meaning, somewhat elitist). They are in big danger of losing the more average anime-watching person, the kind that DOES watch the big hits (like Naruto and YuGiOh). HERO is also beginning to get some pretty good anime in their lineup, Bleach or no Bleach upcoming.

And this is a more harsh but true opinion from one of the critics

I've noticed that some of Animax's events aren't catered anymore for those anime fans or otakus but instead for those elitists or non anime fans,hey they can invite again anime luminaries from Japan(hey remember the AXN and Animax events) to come here but instead we're getting these type of events which honestly aren't that interesting,too much cliche' and too sassy to some Animax viewers and they feel that Animax is just wasting its money on these events...But on the positive side they're kinda nice and different..Oh well the new management in Singapore doesn't have the same passion for animes of the old AXN-Animax management....But i hope there's an improvement before Hero TV outpaced them

Now AnimaxGMA, we’ll see if your PR machinery will work on us who criticize your network.

Also connected in here, are the grievances of the “die hard” AnimaxGMA Kapusos that blame AnimaxGMA for the fiasco that they produced during the 10 February Animax Speed Dating event in the SM Mall of Asia, the term being used there as “nagkalat ang AnimaxGMA”

To think, EK said in his post at the group that people go for these events because of one person, and that is Ely Buendia and his Pupil Band who are so uber-loyal (meaning die hard loyalty) to the Alliance.

And the downfall, these loyal before fans are now crying that the event had little or no mention of Anime in it (contrasting the alliance’s type of programming over their event last February).

These loyal before fans also remembered the plight that had happened last year, when AnimaxGMA held its 24 hour viewing contest called “Animax 24 Hour Watchathon” or whatever you call that contest last 03 February, 2006. Barely a few hours before another tragedy which struck ABS-CBN happened.

It was a tragedy, more badly than the ULTRA stampede. Many Otakus were pissed off by the fact that AnimaxGMA never informed that those who will join will have to register via Email, and they announced it ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION ITSELF. The Ozine Article depicted the “good side” being manipulated by the Butch Racquels and other paid-up press people (what am I saying is, the Very Manipulative PR Persons) of AnimaxGMA who can create a bad situation good or worse, create a PADDED ratings sheet.

Mr. Buendia, just a piece of unsolicited advice. Watch AnimaxGMA’s back. They may cause you another heart attack and cause your career to lose, and your band.

Another thing that the ex-loyalists shroud over is the Online Text Messages being used by the channel to lure again viewers and create a communication cycle. Again, this is another disgusting example of how does the number 2 network lure over the no. 1 network. And also, the cycle of communication particularly of Wilbur Schramm and Harold Lasswell combined.

And that is, to use the SMS medium to generate Feedback.

No, not generating feedback, that was the damn network’s perception. It was thought to be a vehicle to “air love messages on the air”. But it was, indeed, a misconception, because the SMS channel was used to AIR REQUESTS, and I mean IMPOSSIBLE (read, I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E) requests like Naruto, GSD etc. on that network.

Which is downright OUTRAGEOUS, FUNNY, INSULTING and nevertheless, again, for the umpteenth time. IMPOSSIBLE

I see that AnimaxGMA is doing desperate moves to regain the lead. They sense " experience” on their marketing strategy. and that is really a big upset for their loyal fans who are expecting on it

Kira's World in 2007 to 2009

Sorry If my Posts are so very much delayed. This is because of academic reasons and loss of ideas., heheh.

But as we venture into 2007. We are doing another milestone as Kira's World has chosen to become one of the heralds and chroniclers of Pinoy Anime History. We wanted to show that we are there to cover these milestones and for us to do our duty. We will be giving you a Preview of what's in store this year.

For our Forums Roll. I am a Full Time moderator of the Now one of the most recognized and fearless Anime forums websites that really devote to Pinoy-dubbed Anime, Zen Otaku Honbu, As 2006 left us an impression that we can be recognized. 2007 alone will be the start of true anime activism. With a YouTube channel and More partnerships and sources. We are assuring you that our news are more faster, more efficient and first. as we say. First and Exclusive is our keyword in 2007. Just like I say. If it's an Exclusive. It's gotta be Zen Honbu

Next. I am a fulltime member of the WTF! Cosplay Forums to which I will devote more time as a friendly forumer who can also do things as well. I am also an occasional forumer of the ABS-CBN Anime Forums and HeroTV Forums

Next is our Blog Plans. As I am telling it to you, I am going to change all of the profiles that Our Kira's World Family of Sites will bring to you.

First of which is here. Our main blog. We will now post new Anime issues and discussions Every 15th and the last Day of the month. ie. Semimonthly. This is to facilitate analysis and gathering for every issue that we tackle. But for our anniversary month, I will try to create at least 10 posts to also join in the celebration.

We also are launching an AfterConvention Report which will tackle all the events and highlights of the conventions that Kira's World have been covered. This will be posted 2-3 days after the convention or the Last Day of it (if it's a 2 day event).

I will also try to create Flash Reports in ZenHonbu and here inside the convention area to create a coverage continuity.

For Personal Space, which is hosted on Friendster and is available on http://kirayamato_icediver.blogs.friendster.com/kiraspersonalspace2. We will try to create at least 5 posts per month. It depends on the mood swings and the feelings to which I post. I will also create a reader for this so you guys who read at Blogger will make no more time typing out the URL as we will blogmulcast it via RSS.

For Yahoo! 360. We will be starting it on April and will also feature semimonthly unique articles independent of Blogger.

For Multiply. The Site is now on Test and will be fully operational by April. I also put the RSS of the Blog here in Blogger so that we are going to be able to simulcast the Semimonthly Blogger Articles. We will also try to create a once-a-week Article also independent from those previous hostings.

And you think it's only it? Better get ready for our Plans after the April anniversary.

IF I already bought a new PC. It will be easier for me to explore new dimensions of our advocacy. First of which is an All-Pinoy anime website that's in the planning stage and to be due on my 20th Birthday. 10 December 2008.

Also the KW Myspace Blog will be due on the 4th Quarter of this year. As well as the KW Youtube VideoLog which will be due on 3rd quarter of this year too.

We are also eyeing on KW on Livejournal in 2008 (probably in the 2nd quarter or Anniversary) and KW on Wordpress in 2009 (1st Quarter)

Ambitious and impossible it may seem, It will be a reality if all of us will work to create all these projects to create the advocacy that we see within these years. What I need is a little help and then we could create a helping hand so that our fights are going to be heard to the people and to our target. the Anime Otaku. be it a Forumer, a Cosplayer or just a simple viewer.

And thanks for all who will support for me in this endeavors. I know that your help in these plans are very much appreciated once we go in here.

The Late 2006 Kira’s World Anime Yearender Report: If 2005 is Bad, 2006 is Worse

Sorry for the uber-long wait because of my other commitments. Here is the very much awaited Kira's World Yearender Report.

Much worse, what we expected.

If the year 2005 is what we dubbed as the bad year for Anime because of the diminishing timeslots on local TV and the like, well, 2006 is no difference.

No difference, you may say. For one, the local networks (I mean the terrestrials, ABS-CBN [Channel 2 Analog and Channel 51 Digital] and GMA Channel 7) were not too keen again to put another anime on their timeslots. The equation was simple. If we put anime in these timeslots, we’re dead and toast. Competition between these two networks became more intense as the months go by, Last November, ABS-CBN Announced that they have already lorded it all on the AGB Nielsen Nationwide TV Survey, which the rival debunked and said that it was all lies.

Oh, the sourgraping of the rival network, how sweet.

The launch of HeroZone on ABS-CBN (I think last 3^rd quarter of 2006) made the anime from Bad (Bad as in what you expected it before this person resigned) to Worse. More worse was the resignation of ABS-CBN President Luis “Cito” Alejandro last March to “have a career jump” (but the real reason was the tragic ULTRA stampede which killed 72 of our poor people last 4 February) made the airing of quality anime and a hope of putting it into choice and competitive timeslots dim. Remember that this President was the one who went on the initiative of Launching HeroTV last 2005. He also was the President who aired, much to the big surprise of the Fans, Gundam SEED on ABS-CBN last 2004 (currently, the show reruns on Studio 23)

April was not as sweet as the roses in the bloom of summer because of the controversial axing of “Maria Sama Ga Miteiru” during 1 April, Yes although it was timed on April Fools. The surprise never fooled us. And fools are we when we knew that the MTRCB (damn bigots) had a hand in the axing of the show. Along with some of ABS-CBN’s pro-good Board of Directors like Emily Abrera and Rev. Fr. Tito Caluag, S.J.

May was the first time when we entered a HeroTV event, Summer Splash at Splash Island last 5 May 2006. Although the event meant waking up (not necessarily, I never slept that night. :P) and going to ABS-CBN at around 5 to 6 am for the shuttle to the Biñan, Laguna resort. The “never sleep” thing actually paid off. It was all but very good. Imagine that HeroTV pulled all the stops for this event that sure is quite as memorable. But as we write, we are still halfway through the year.

June and July signaled my return to school and 2 conventions unfolded on those months. The 2-day Toy Convention last 17 and 18 June 2006 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls 2 and 3 at Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City and the One-day Ozine Fest – National Cosplay Competition last 30 July at the LePavilion, Metropolitan Park, Pasay City. It was our first immersion to a true convention and with some surprises that we ourselves never expected. Those two events were successful and our participation was tremendous.

It was also in those months, particularly during the last week of June and the whole month of July when we uncovered the biggest slapup of all. A person met us and exposed all what he can expose us. By the moment I wrote it. It turned out to be one of my tests in my 2-year career as a forumite and a blogger. I can’t help but to semi-quit myself from the online world. And much later, right before the Ozine Fest, I returned, telling it to myself that I will now learn from this experience what a true controversy has and what a true controversy will fall out of notice once it is revealed to all.

Although August, September and October were the “dry” months for Events and Conventions for me, my campus life was starting to take charge. I became a member and, eventually, a core officer of the Lyceum Anime Guild, I met my, should we say, my boss because I’m his anbu, Carlo Castaneda or Twist. I also met Joseph (Mikan’s brother), Shorty, Brian, Ana, Jiea and Ban during our first GA last August. I definitely believed that I am not alone in this field. I remembered that I wanted to have an anime org here in the Lyceum to have an umbrella organization of all Otakus, Cosplaying or Non-Cosplaying, to be united in one voice and united in our field. I was very much thankful because, although we are not active, we wanted to feel that we are there for the Lycean otaku and, as we wanted to say. “Be not afraid”.

Also, I am so privileged to join in the school publication this year, The Lyceum Independent Sentinel. For me, it is not just a job for me, it is a privilege. A privilege that I worked and became a part of the team that I just only read in the past, I never expected and I definitely thank the Lord for giving me this sign that I am realizing my mistakes that I done during that tumultuous time by entering the school publication.

November was the prime month of all anime conventions because of the much-awaited Hataw Hanep Hero 2006 held last 18-19 November at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The event was the mecca of all conventions, the crème-de la-crème of all events of the year. I went with Twist and there, I met his cosplaying colleagues from the WTF! Cosplay community. That made me become fulfilled because of the support that we gave them that meant a fruitful relationship between the forumers of Zen Otaku Honbu and the Cosplay Community. I am also very much grateful to HeroTV especially to Mr. Eric Go and Ms. Joy Go for bringing us this momentous event that doubled than those who attended the Pacquiao-Morales III grudge match held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV.

December, well, was my breakthrough month, with three momentous and very well-received events that shaped me through this month; I should say that December should not be only celebrated as the Christmas month, but rather, the Otaku Month.

First, my Pre-birthday salvo that I never blogged about yet to you because of the Birthday Message, UP-AME’s AME Matsuri 2006 held a day before my birthday, 09 December 2006 at the UP Bahay ng Alumni. It was my first time to go there and from the pictures that I saw of the last year’s event. Truly, this is much bigger than the past kAME Ulit last year. The cosplays were oh-so-better and I saw Twist along with his pals do the Kingdom Hearts 2 group cosplay. We also saw Moonlight Bomber show his cosplay goodness and Windracer’s Girl from Hell cosplay a spoofed-up version of Star Wars. We also saw more spoofs and action. But the convention, well, it’s far I know not like less ordinary, with the biggest boohoos that Mike Abundo (silly old Mike Abundo) went there and Animax covered the event with only a DV camera with them.

Second, you know what that event was, I already told it to you in the Birthday Message. And thirdly, the most-awaited yearend decider Otaku’s Verdict 2006, which over 70 nominees vied for 24 awards and one most screwed.

And speaking of the Otaku’s Verdict, here we are with the Kiranalysis of the Polls.

Anime TLC TV Network of the Year - QTV 11 64.84%
Philippine Anime Hall of Being Screwed - Maria-sama ga Miteru (for unfinished run, ABS-CBN2) 41.12%

It’s clearly obvious that ABS-CBN was not doing its job this year and their job only made matters worse and I really mean worse. Like the axing of MariMite and their pain-in-the-neck programming this 2006 in order to beat their fierce rival

I leave this piece of advice to ABS-CBN in 2007

If you want to win the Major awards of OV2007, BE SENSITIVE!

Or otherwise, it will strike you again.

Male Anime Dubber of the Year - Louie Paraboles 41.17%
Female Anime Dubber of the Year - Grace Cornel 56.17%
Dubbing Director of the Year - Michael Punzalan 50.00%

The idea of adding these new nominations in this year’s verdict is because of the fact that the Pinoy dubber is not being recognized for his Hardwork and dedication in his field. We congratulate Mr. Paraboles, Ms. Cornel and Sir Mike for being the first persons to be awarded with our equivalents of Best Actor, Actress and Director.

And speaking of Dubbers, Danny Mandia was one of the dubbing directors your coordinator interviewed in 2006. Among the most notable interviews of 2006 were Mandia, Michael Punzalan, Eric Go, Noel Escondo and Charvie Abletes , Among those who have met by your coordinator were Bernie Malejana and Roni Abario, Among those who have saw by your coordinator but failed to “ambush” interview were Alexx Agcaoili and Sherwin Revinster, I hope I can file an Interview with some of our respected people in the dubbing industry in 2007

Philippine Anime 2006 Rating - Good 34.67%

It may be good to some, but to me, it is still a Disaster, worse than Milenyo and Reming combined. With ABS-CBN's ignorance and GSD's long wait. I can say that ABS-CBN (as Analog 2 and Digital 51) became the mirror of what happened in the industry.

Ignorance should be ABS-CBN’s trademark. They never assumed anything responsible in the first place. Apart from the controversial axing of MariMite in April of 2006, they were ignorant in the requests made by anime fans and otakus over their Forums.

Their forums went down in the 2^nd quarter of 2006. Attacked by the hackers which eventually known to be GMA network hoodlums, which work in the network’s GMA New Media Inc. They changed the forums last November, which created the ire of the otakus over on the new layout and forum which was not user friendly.

Gundam SEED Destiny should be ABS-CBN’s way of saying thank you this 2006. But what happened? ABS-CBN simply turned the whole GSD thing down and instead, released the 4^th season of the ever popular and top-rating Naruto. When will ABS-CBN air GSD?

On overall, what ABS-CBN is doing, the others are doing, Even GMA's Sister Network QTV 11 are following mighty and giant ABS-CBN's moves.

Even if ABS-CBN (as the company/network) had HeroTV, still it gained no chance to survive in 2006. Although the new titles complemented the channel and it gained more acceptance unlike last year. The shadow of their parent network overcastted their success in their foray. As ABS-CBN were too keen on making an Anime Channel through Hero. They have forgotten their own terrestrial channel and started making ungodly programs on the priority timeslots like “Calla Lily” and “Pangako sa Iyo”

Will 2007 be a landmark for them? I don't think so until I see Gabby Lopez again says these magical words.

"I am responsible"

I am hoping that this year will be more reformed and more anime friendly than 2006. Also, I want to see what the true meaning of reform really is to the networks and their anime-related channels. I am also expecting of more bigger events and more exciting conventions which Kira’s World will attend to and first of which is the Zen Otaku Honbu Forums EB which will be held in the 28^th of this month at the SM Mall of Asia.

As for Kira’s World, now that we are approaching our 2^nd year come April 2007. We are assuring our loyal readers and site visitors that you will come across a more vigilant, more fearless and a more visually-enticing Kira’s World. We are also exploring new horizons through Yahoo! 360 and Multiply, And Also our Friendster blog is more personal with at least 4 posts per month about what my life is all about, both as a normal person and as a coordinator otaku. Because we want to leave an imprint to the online world that we are, really, the REAL, UNDISPUTED and FEARLESS Coordinator Anime Portal

December Birthday Special No. 4 > Overview of Kiranalysis 2006

Belated Merry Christmas and an Advanced new year to all!

As we end 2006 with a blast. We will give you some "spoilers" on the probable issues that we will tackle as we approach the 2006 Kiranalysis and Yearender report, As a way of saying Thank you for the support that you gave to the Coordinator Anime Portal for the past 1 and 3/4 years already.

First on the list is the Slapup ABS-CBN gave to it's Anime, as you may all know. We knew this network wanted to lead. But their plans destructed their timeslots on the "sacred block".

Second, GSD controversy, we all knew ABS-CBN had the rights, but why is that CN aired it first and HeroTV aired first the Tagalog version? Did the management held up GSD in sacrifice on their stupidity??

Thirdly, Events and Conventions that your coordinator attended (Sorry if i hadn't posted the highlights of UP AME Matsuri 2006, We'll try to post it in here). 2006 was the year when we attended almost 78 percent of all conventions that we attended. We will try to look at the highlights of these events and the buzz it created in the otakus in general.

Of course, we will also analyze and contrast the results of the 2005 and 2006 Otaku's Verdict and what will be 2007 in store with us.(aside from the new layout we will sporting next year)

December Birthday Special No. 3 > My Birthday Message.

Ok, here goes.

Oh yeah, I'm already at the peak of my life. My own turning point. Before, I was a loner, I was just a person having no friends. I didn't even knew the word camaraderie until you all came and turned me into what am I now. It's not enough to just say "Thank you" or "domo domo arigatou gozaimasu" to those whom I really known during the past 18 years of my life in which I entirely set unto on the field of Anime journalism and, yeah, campus and off-campus events.

Okay, let me thank first the Lord, my parents and my elder relatives for raising me and having me as their eldest and only son. It sounds too corny and traditional but, what can I do? they're my parents!

Secondly, to my childhood friends and relatives. I never knew maybe some of you, but thanks anyway.

To my elementary classmates to whom I gave my first experiences as a budding writer. Kudos also to my former teachers and advisers because I was soooooo privileged to learn with them. I still am not forgetting where I came from. I can proudly say that I finished in a public elementary school.

Here comes the more exciting part! To my elementary friends whom I still remember. The friendship that we had never ended. I just hope that we meet someday and and share the best experiences of our lives.

It gets more exciting! To the Francisco School, the admin, the teachers and advisers and to all those I met there. Especially Manong the ice cream vendor. They formed me into what I am and molded me into what I became today.

To my former HS friends and classmates. I became what into my personality now because of you. I knew my mistakes. I knew my wrongdoings, because you all shed me up into a new light. A new hope, that someday, I can reach the top of the mountain or dive under the frigid waters of the Antarctic.

To my college professors, Then, now and in the future. It may sound a bit, yeah, tricky. But your professional teaching expertise have made me think more critically. Made me become a leveled person full of aspirations, dreams and especially, hope.

To the whole Lyceum Community. for instilling me the values that the great founder, Dr. Jose P. Laurel imbued on him by creating an institution which serves as a center of (academic) excellence.

And now, the main part of the message, It gets more emotional once you thank those who made you what you are now.

To the ABS-CBN Anime and Zen Otaku Honbu forumers. Anime Kabayan, Kuya Jamibu, synth, tetsu-sempai, Mikan-sempai, Prodigy, Ate Colleen, Pinoy Big Narutonian, windracer, Soulassassin, Joes, evileye_theblocker, and to all other members like Rineo, waltz and Mc08. Thanks because I was able to know and meet friends whom I can express my inner thoughts. my inner emotions and what my opinions are in the recent issues that plague the pinoy anime industry. Thank you for being there, for being open in our exchange of ideas when we post in our forums or in our blogs. I just wish that all these ideas of mine. My opinions and expressions won't go into into a sham of waste piled up in a wastebasket.

To The Doll House yuri group, again to windracer, synth, Ate Colleen, Mikan-sempai, tetsu-sempai and to Alianne, Ate Flor and to Dillian, They were the ones whom I should say as very much, The best group I joined. I shared all what I know on making and planning. I am also privileged to be one of the core members of the group. For this I humbly say, Thank you.

To my friends who were also my batchmates (hopefully,,,) on should I say, Where it all started. A106, 1st Sem, AY 2005-2006, I believed that all started in this group. It all started as a block section but, as time come and go, we were divided into differently-classed sections, Still I never thought that I will become friends with all of you.

(eto na,,) To the Lyceum Independent Sentinel, to my EIC Jonah, AE Ate Ehdz, to Ate Cha (who is also celebrating her birthday today, 10 Dec, Happy Beer-este-birthday!), Ate Kate, Ate Jam, Ate Kenneth, Ate Manel, Fafa Sef, Fafa Ramir, Fafa Redgz, Mark, Ate Myra, Ate Elha and Verniece. I said to myself during the tumultuous time of July that if i chanced the Sentinel, I be realizing the mistakes that I have done during that period (later..). Thanks for all the tips. for all the assignments and the pointers, and sorry if at one point I disrespected you, never followed your orders and became angry with some of you, I'm just still new, I'm am still adjusting because of my anime path and career. But anyway, you were not only my bosses, senseis or sempais, You were my adopted Kuyas and Ates. (credits also to JJ and Ate Honey)

To the one club which I will only join for my stay at the Lyceum, the Lyceum Anime Guild, to Sempai David, Bryan, Joseph, Ana, Shorty, Jiea and to Carlo or more commonly known to me as Twist. Yeah, we may seem inactive, we may seem as an NPA(non performing asset of Dean Norby :) XD :P). I won't promise, but when you leave the LAG (I think I will be joined by Kenji and Jiea in handling the guild when you're gone), I will do my best to continue what the LAG will be, to be the Center of Anime Excellence in the Intramuros area. Thank you for showing me that I am not alone, I am not fighting alone for my advocacy, Thank you for being there, and thank you (andami naman) for giving your trust to me. Like I said earlier, I am not promising to you, but I will make LAG an institution at par with other universities' anime orgs.

I am thanking Twist again for introducing me to new friends which are the WTF cosplayers (segue: thanks to FilCosplay, to Sempai Sephiroth for telling us the plans and points on making an event. We will try to make these pointers as we try to make the big one here in Lyce.). Although I have made some acquaintances with some cosplayers courtesy of windracer, (thanks if you trusted me during the Toycon and Ozine Fest-NCC 2006 during the GSD group cosplay). Nothing could replace the acquaintance that I made with the cosplayers courtesy of Twist during H3 2006 and, during the eve of my birthday, the UP AME Matsuri 2006(which I will discuss to you later on after this long post). Although I only know very very few of you like Keno and Yoeru, and I do not know the majority of you. Still, I am giving A big big thank you, definitely, because you made a big boost to our advocacy in Zen and made it more accessible.

And yeah, to Twist (again) because you became my comfort when I was sad. You became my best friend here in Lyce, Nobody can replace your Ideas, your visions (really?), your artwork (cool, hehe), and your humor, I became much more than an otaku, really!

Also. I am giving my thanks to 2 persons which shaped me. First is my fave dubbing icon, Sir Michael Punzalan. He was the dubber of all dubbers, an A-class director who helmed my ever-fave Gundam SEED and the one who voiced Kira Yamato. He was a big awe to us when we met him last 25 June. And I appreciated everything. I mean everything even during the time that the "issue" broke out, Still I am so privileged to talk to an Icon like Sir Mike Punzalan, bon voyage!

And to my only one, My Lacus Clyne, Arabel, It's been 2 years since we last met, but hey. I still remember you because you are bubbly, your face is so charming and your ideas are terribly more than anyone I knew. I hope that we meet again, someday. Maybe at a convention, perhaps!. :)

As I turn 18 today, I realize that I am definitely not alone. I have friends to lean on and to fall back on. I have my family and relatives to support for me. I have my professors and teachers to guide me. And more importantly, I have my Lacus and the Lord to inspire me.

Again, I'm saying this for the nth time already. A BIG THANK YOU , BECAUSE MY LIFE IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT ALL OF YOU WHO MADE ME A PERSON.

December Birthday Special # 2>GSD on HeroTV and ABS-CBN sidelights

As my birthday comes to unfold, we now delve into what has come to be Philippine TV history’s biggest slap-up. Gundam SEED Destiny, yeah, it has been aired of Cartoon Network Philippines last June 1, much to my dismay because we were expecting ABS to air it first.

The Tagalog dub, according to Sir Mike Punzalan, our “outside source” in GSD, started last November. And much to our surprise, the cast has been changed, if not all, some, like (the info came from the ANN)

- Ria Bautista as Cagalli Yula Attha, replacing Maripette Narvasa
- Pocholo Gonzales as Yzak Joule, replacing Jeff Utanes.
Also, our “some expected” cast members who will play these role were chosen, like Sir Alexx Agcaoili as Rey Za Burrel.

But the BIGGEST SLAPUP which considered being as the biggest overturn of the series was the inclusion of Benjie Dorango as Shinn Asuka. Benjie Dorango, which according to the credits of the series of ABS-CBN as well as from ANN, has dubbed mainly leading men in Asianovelas and as a main dubber of famed dubbing director Danny Mandia.

We never expected Dorango to voice one of GSD’s main antihero. We scribbled down the likes of Sir Jeff Utanes to Alejandro Lim. But as we should know, the new dubbing director of GSD, Gary Ryan Ang, has the sole decision to decide on who will be his cast. And because Ang also is a Mandia dubber, I had some feelings that some of “Mandia’s Dubbers” will enter the cast.
Take for instance, Mam Teng Masilungan, she became a Mandia dubber (look at some of her new anime credits, it was all directed by Direk Danilo) and that “privilege” made her cast in GSD as Talia Gladys and Lunamaria Hawke.

The wait has ended, on HeroTV as it now currently airs every weekday at 0830 and 1800, and Tuesdays to Saturdays at 2400. The next question will be WHEN WILL ABS-CBN AIR GSD???

The long question just started after ABS-CBN ended Yakitate Japan and replaced it by Beet, the Vandel Buster (another Mandia production, starring one of the “worst dubbers” [a-la Dj Mo Twister] in the industry, Noel Escondo), so as Yu-gi-oh GX by putting the ever-popular Naruto s. 4 (after 10 months of hibernation). The probabilities are endless. Ranging from January of 2007, to as long as either March or April, and the questionable time on when it will air, whether is it on the fabled Primetime Bida block of ABS-CBN, or either on the slapped HeroZone block. We cannot tell, At least of it.

This month. Kira's World will be celebrating, of course, My birthday, he he he. Kidding aside, Yeah, it's December and It's my birthmonth. And what better way to celebrate it is a string of posts for the whole month of December.

You heard it right. whole month of December folks. Included in the blogstring is my Friendster blog which I hope to update it at least everyday. I am also hoping that this Blog will be updated so as to keep you posted on the Latest in the world of Anime

And speaking of Latest. As my previous post as have said 25 days ago. We are a proud partner of MagtibayAnime-ZenHonbu Otaku's Verdict 2006, Our blog will be in the front of the polls taking every nominee into consideration and analyzing the upcoming results and the fearless Kira's World Yearender 2006.

The yearender will be one what you may not expect. Do think that the blog has already matured over a year and a half of handling serious issues especially on the plight of ABS-CBN this year. Who, Why and When to Blame in ABS-CBN’s fiasco

Last 3 October 2006, I sent a letter to Abante Columnist Jojo Gabinete through Anime Kabayan. I detailed my resentment over on three W’s, Who, When and Why

Who to blame, technically, some geniuses in ABS-CBN do not use their minds well, like Gabby Lopez and Charo Santos (heck considering that she is the programming head of Channel 2 Manila), they hire the services of those “incompetent incognitos” to helm over the anime programming of ABS-CBN. They almost ran out of ideas on what to do over promotions and program management (talking about loss of PR).

When to blame, NOW, that time is now, I almost lost my voice over on the assertion that although there is Hero TV, we still have ABS-CBN and we are waiting for it. The timeframe for the airing of GSD is getting late, definitely late. , We are not warning them of the consequences once the rival network airs their gambit, Bleach. However if ABS-CBN decides to compete with Bleach, some things should be done for the sake of their “resurrection” and that would be:

1. Removal of Mexican Telenovelas which are destructive to the nature of afternoon viewing
2. Remove some nonperforming programs, Like KAPAMILYA CINEMA, and
3. If they really have the GUTS and the TESTICLES, PUT at least 2 animes on the Primetime Bida block,

That way, we can see ABS-CBN really compete in the true essence of Mainstream programming

Why to blame, the Machiavellian concept of “The end justifies the means” is true here in ABS-CBN. What they never expected is the rush GMA gave to Studio 23’s Copycat, QTV11. They used ABS-CBN’s hibernation to buffer the former’s comeback with adding up new titles to the latter, and that includes two former top-rating ABS-CBN anime Cardcaptor Sakura and Samurai X. What ABS-CBN’s loss is what QTV11 and GMA’s gain (of course, with Parent Company of QTV, Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s Zoe Broadcasting Network indirectly gratified too.).

Opening up a resent to a policy is one form of democracy. In addition, because the Philippines is a democratic country, we see no evil telling the damages and wrongdoings Asia’s first commercial broadcaster is currently incurring right now. As I hope, that this crisis will completely end through just and fair reforms in programming which I hope ABS-CBN will do for the sake of the Pinoy Otaku.

ABS-CBN being an incognito over Anime Fans

For these past few months, ABS-CBN has been eating itself alive. That is, eating them with programming waste.

They have been doing such programming suicides that tend to harm Otakus and as well as viewers alike. Stunts like “Calla Lily” and “Pangako Sa Iyo” as a very “worthy” programming choice over anime. In addition, another suicide is the Hero Zone block. This has destroyed the block not only because of a certain person by the name of Makisig Morales. But the worthless schedules and the stupidest promotions ever. No, I am not angry to the programs. All I ever rant it about is the way they treat these programs and its viewers as a minority.

I cannot help but to be angry at what the ABS-CBN management thinks over anime as a minority. Probably because there is Hero TV, but as I tell to all forumers a THOUSAND TIMES already, WE ARE NOT ONLY WATCHING HERO TV! WE STILL HAVE ABS-CBN and WE ARE WAITING FOR THE MANAGEMENT TO ACT ON ANIME!

Yeah. ABS-CBN is a COMMERCIAL network like NBC and CBS of the US and TBS and TV Tokyo of Japan. It is also the forefront of Television technology in Asia like the BBC and NHK. This legacy should not lead to a heap of PLAGIARIZED RATINGS SHEETS and BANDWAGON ADS that make ABS-CBN a dead loser. Instead, ABS-CBN has to work more effort for the sake of its viewers. Regardless of the ratings sheets that others claim to be number one, surprise the viewers with a new format of primetime programming that is a cut above the rest.

That should include an Anime lineup for Primetime; maybe it could sense a disaster for you Mr. Lopez, Ms. Santos, Ms. Vidanes, Ms. Raymundo and Ms. Mortiz. Nevertheless, I will tell you to put either or both Gundam SEED Destiny and Naruto on Primetime, Rest assured, even those Fake superheroes, Magical stupidity, unbelievable facial stunts and cheap kornynovelas the other networks are CURRENTLY AIRING will knock those out with a double helping of Kira’s Strike Freedom and Naruto’s Razengan.

Ozine Fest 2006 and Forums Discrimination

Last 30 July, Another bread and butter event was held, it was the Ozine Fest 2006 held at LePavilion, Metropolitan Park, Bay City, Pasay City. It was one of the most awaited events of the year and I'm glad to be part of it. The Convention ran from 1000 to 2130, long eh? but your 100 peso ticket you bought will be worth it. If you didn't catch the fun of Ozine Fest July, you may get another exploding moment at Ozine fest December.

Now, on to our main topic, recently, ABS-CBN has just aired another crappy asianovela. Though they did not elaborate it. They said on their teasers that it is the one of the most requested asianovelas on forums. I went mad at this assertion. That only meant ABS-CBN lends an ear to those forumers whose aim is to destroy anime on TV! They never lent us an ear on our grievances,. nor our requests!..

What is ABS-CBN trying to point out? Because of HeroTV! FYI, HeroTV is A subdsidary of ABS-CBN, but why is it not included in ABS-CBN's crossplatform promotions of movies?, hm maybe because ABS-CBN thinks that, we have HeroTV, we'll just stick to it? duh!! don't ever ever think that we will watch HeroTV only, WE STILL HAVE ABS-CBN AND WE KNOW WHAT IS ABS-CBN DOING!!

For god's sake Mr. Gabby Lopez, please HEAR US, if you don't want to get the flood of E-mails of you and the other management, Beat the odds and defy what your predecessors had done! not defy yourself what your competitors are doing to you and your network!

Toycon Diaries, Back To School, Animax Forums and whoa.... Dreaming about GSD!!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!!, what a long week it is, Yeah, long and tiring week, I'm here again at the E-lib for my surfing spin again.. And this time, I will not forget even a single second to update my blog on the latest and the most recent happenings inside Anime...

1. Back to School - for me,, yeah!!. After a 8 month hiatus, I'm back now at the Lyceum, now a UNIVERSITY!!! yeehaw!, Things have changed 8 months ago and now. Of course, with the exception of the conferment of a University Status. I was uncomfortable at first now that i'm an Irregular student. But now, I can get the hang if it already! Think about it, Changing rooms every end of class. Having 2 vacant periods every other 1-and-a-half hour,. having the luxury of 7:00 -11:30 classes every Tuesday and Friday (though, It has a disadvantage, I can't watch AmDriver at that time!), and all of these Great facilities,, although rigorous and backbreakng especially on the Monday-Thursday schedule (8:30 - 17:30) I can feel that I'm now again enriching my learning experience. I'm hoping that I can now continue this until I finish my Course.. BTW, for all of you who may not know my course yet, It's AB Mass Communications with a specialization in Broadcasting.

2. ToyCon 2006 - Yeah, During the first weeks of school, I experienced my first ever convention, The Fifth Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention,, It was held during my 2-day break, Saturday and Sunday, (17-18 Jun), Although at first, It was kinda dull, But on the later hours, Especially on the [group] Cosplay competition last Sunday (18). I was very very exhilirated, I even almost lost my voice! why? Because I can't help it but to shout and shout! I was, of course,. Supporting the GSD group cosplay which was headed by none other than my friend and forumsmate Windracer, I kinda made 2 big, white placards for "support", heheheh, Although they lost, They felt that they won because of our undying support to them..

Also, one of the highlights of the ToyCon was the FanFilm competition. Again this is another shining moment for us, We had an entry in the FanFilm fest called "Stay", It was a Mai-HiME fanfilm that we did Just a couple of weeks ago.. Forutnately enough, We won THIRD PLACE!! Congrats to Windracer, Ate Faye, Kuya Chris, Ate Mikan (The drug lady, XD), Synth (for the translation) and especially, to our RESIDENT NATSUKI, Alianne!!! weeeheeeheee!!,, For more of the behind the scenes pictures, Please check my Friendster profile

4. Dreaming About GSD on ABS-CBN - Well, that's the lead thought, Because last Tuesday Night,. I was dreaming about a Promotion for GSD on ABS-CBN, it was like what will you expect from ABS-CBN's Creative Communications Management Team (CCM), Is this "dream" of mine will come into a reality come next few months??? We'll see about that.

Yeah, it's June and I'm going back to School,, after a Semester of Stopping. I finally am enrolled back to my Kapamilya University, The LYCEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES,, yeah.. Still in the course of AB Mass Com major in Broadcasting. Never shifted into Nursing (jeez, I hate joining the bandwagon) because I want to continue my life as a public servant (not a politician) to the masses. And, yeah, continue my Anime Advocacy through Media...

I have crossed around at some people who are getting much over their stomachs at being angry over Filipino Dubs. IT's INDEPENDENCE DAY, FOLKS! WE NEED OUR SENSE OF NATIONALISM! I thought, where it is? Is it hidden?,,, where!!!

I am thinking what will happen come August,, When it will be "Buwan ng Wika".. There will be many who will try this glorious event for our country as we celebrate our language into a ground for protests against Filipino dubs...

I am looking forward for a glorious Half year ahead of us!. Til next post!

I do believe that blogging can send an emotion to a wide audience. And therefore. I hope that this blogpost of mine will send a very painful message to the Management of ABS-CBN

I was being forced to take a decision since that Gundam SEED Destiny is going to air in Cartoon Network this coming June 1st. I was terribly angry and at the same time. saddened. Here we are again with those fools wringing up again the "Pangit ang dub ng ABS-CBN kaysa sa CN" controversy, I am going to tell you once more, MY ADVOCACY ALWAYS NEVER FAIL, But for the first time in my life. We were Failed...

I was hoping that after the confirmation by Kira Yamato himself, Mr. Michael Punzalan that ABS-CBN has the rights of GSD, they will do the next steps, but to the surprise of mine. ABS-CBN was thinking TWICE on Who will air Destiny First? Will it be ABS-CBN or HeroTV??, and other questions like Who will direct the ABS-CBN Destiny dub? Who will dub the Shinn Asuka and Kira Yamato role?. For One and a Half years. ABS-CBN did NOTHING to GSD,, What are they doing? Are they banking again on their KORNYNOVELAS and TELESERYES That do not RATE?? Why do bank on ANIME like GSD and WE WILL SUPPORT TO IT UNTIL WE DIE!!, WE'LL SUPPORT THE FILIPINO DUB AND ENCOURAGE VIEWERS.. Is that what you need Mr. Gabby Lopez?

For the Last time, I will tell you this. I am still OPTIMISTIC on ABS-CBN to Air Gundam SEED Destiny THIS YEAR, NOT NEXT YEAR, NOT IN 2008 but THIS YEAR.. I am looking forward for the Management to Hear the voices of the Otakus and Air what is RIGHT, WE want ABS-CBN do a POSITIVE WORK on the Dub, Promotion and Airing of what culd be ABS-CBN's 60th Anniversary Salvo for 2006, GUNDAM SEED DESTINY!!!

Lately in the ABS-CBN forums. Our Friend Pinacolada Neko showed us a Link in which, most forumers on the OtakuFridge boards. created a mayhem,, They criticized the quality of the dubs of Hero TV

I never fired at them immediately, I just waited for someone to CORRECT the mistakes they have done... Suddenly, Pinoy Big Narutonian registered at the forums and did the right thing. but Instead of accepting it. They banned him for no reason whatsoever,, here is their reason on why they banned PBN

L E A R N T O R E A D before you go on starting to flame. I watch and enjoy a lot of tagalog anime. Almost all of us on the boards do. We are not ranting about tagalized anime, you stupid little ignoramus; we are ranting about the undeniably low quality of the casting, dubbing and overall production values of whoever does the dubs for HERO TV.

I'm banning your ass cause I can, just because I know I'll be making your day by pissing you off. Go join a naruto forum or something.

I told them the REAL truth.,. that Kira Yamato's English Dubber (Matt Hill) was more like of a Rapper when he dubbed Kira, Sir Michael Punzalan did it with conviction.. I also told in that forum the bias they have created, They destroyed balance and impartiality.

But what I did started a war against the English Dubs Versus the Filipino Dubs we truly love

If you've been to the ABS-CBN forums, you'll know that this is typical of them. I didn't have biases between the 2 companies BEFORE but when I accidentally dropped by ABS boards, I saw that most of them were uneducated brutes (as compared to the GMA boards, where the moderators actually know when to tell the fans they're going overboard). I suddenly became a GMA fan right there and then.

For the record, I actually apologized to the other dude that Xellos banned because he caught Xellos at a bad time. I also lifted his ban for obvious reasons (he wasn't particularly breaking any rules anyhoo). I thought he'd have the decency to at least let the issue drop from there. Apparently, I underestimated the gravity of this country's lack of education.

I suppose you could call the boards elitist. I mean, we do require people to have the least bit decency (or at least the educational background) to uphold the tenets of civil conversation. Lately, I find it hard to look for people that could do this.

Do you understand what he said? He referred to ALL OF US IN THE ABS-CBN FORUMS (I will name em,, ALL WHO POSTED like Me, Kuya Jami, AK, Ate Colleen, P. Neko, SA, Abyss, PBN and other innocent forum posters in our Forums we call as KAPAMILYA) AS UNEDUCATED BRUTES????, HOW LIBELOUS INDEED THESE PERSONS ARE? Trying to downgrade us because our country lacks good education?? I myself am a college student in a reputable university, A high school graduate of a decent school which is very much good in inculcating values in our society, Then calling me an UNEDUCATED BRUTE!! Post Mortem Anniversary Post,, The Eagle has Landed,, In Jail

Yeah,, after a few weeks of non posting, Here am I updating the blog in the just 11 and a half hours before the HeroTV swim party at Splash Island in Southwoods Laguna,,,

And yeah, our Anniversary month has ended and after 8 months, it will be my 18th year as a person,, But the harrows of injustice to media and anime lingers me..

4th year,, 2004-2005, I was the News Editor of the FS Gazette, our official schoolpaper, Our damn editor in chief was a stupid, hamak, third year named CATHERINE MELO,, I was to target the top post, but the crippling editorial exam made me just the 4th in control over the schoolpaper, Every extra curricular period, I gather the news which was submitted by my subordinates, my group of correspondents and reporters, and, of course, to moi.

One time, I thought, what if I create an Editorial Column, since it was an Editor's job to also create a column,., so I created it. perfected it and rewrote any mistakes. I submitted my final written column to my EIC,, what did i got??

A BASHING RED-MARKED, HEAVILY EDITED COLUMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She told me,, "Lack of space",, I thought "My God, Lack of space? come on! that is damn bullshit!! , she only edited my precious words of mine? and what is an editorial column look like,, It is the view of the columnist, not of the Editor!, Bullshit her"

ANNIVERSARY POST No. 1: The First of April Chronicles

Yeah, it's already April and it's the start of our anniversary month! YAHOO! We have pretty much in store for you this month and especially on our anniversary come 12th of April

As you have noticed. I put an "Anniverasry post" template.. Because for the whole month of April, The posts that I will make will be Special, And this one's the start.. This is the first time I will extract a post from my written journal.. And here's what happened Yesterday, which was April fool's day..

>Yeah, 3 big things have happened today. April the first. It maybe April fool's , but all these events never fooled us.

>1. KEANNA as the BIG WINNER - Congratulations to the Senat bombshell KEANNA REEVES as the first Celebrity Big winner. I used PHP6 of my load just for her. She deserves to win. She showed her real self for the millions who watched her on TV. Can't wait for the Teen edition.

>2. MARIMITE BLOCKED - The bad news this April 1st. As I have already known this past few days. Maria Sama Ga Miteiru has been blocked by ABS-CBN. There are many speculations on why MariMite was blocked. But the possible three ones are.
1. They only bought MariMite until ep. 8 (correct me)
2. ABS Blocked it because of the kiss
3. MTRCB Blocked it.
To the three reasons, the last 2 will be the most controversial.. ABS-CBN has to explain why they blocked MariMite considering that they have enough Censor Freedom? I can't help imagine having this anime being politicized by those meddling board of directors named EMILY ABRERA and TITO CALUAG

>3. AYALA CHRONICLES - uh.no, not Tsubasa RESERVoir's new Philippine Title. Because at 2pm, I departed to Ayala MRT station to meet with Synth. We met at 4pm and surfed first.Synth was disgruntled also at what ABS-CBN did to MariMite. Windracer also became revolutionary when she heard the news.

>After we surfed at Netopia. We headed out to G4, then to G1 where Ate Colleen and Ate Flor2Orig was there, waiting for us. They gave the CD's to Synth and there, we started our Mall hopping. We went to TimeZone at the amusment level (L3) to play some games. After that, we went to the Restaurant Rim and ate at Rai Rai Ken Japanese Resto.. uhmm. The food was grrrreeaattt (even the sushi which was considerably perfect even raw) and the Chicken Teriyaki don was the best example for that. After we ate, we talked about everything about MariMite down to our co-forumers. To Yuri and Hentai, to Animax, or A*****, should I write. Cosplay, School, almost everything related to Anime or School.

And anime? yeah. GSD still has the news blackout (figuratively, not literally) and so is Yakitate.. We're still waiting for these 2 gems of ABS to air preferably on the primetime slot which, is considered a very beautiful program to complete the flop of the other "magical" program

And, yeah, I'll join with synth in la Ayala in Saturday, and so is to the Hero Swim party in Laguna this 29th..

Yeah, A year have passed sice we left our alma mater, I doubt. What happened to the batch that made history?

I wonder.. what have really happened??

Yeah, remembering March the 20th of 2005, from 4pm to 5:30 pm, Sunday bittersweet air signaling the start of the holy week, yeah. I was a big ringer in the 4c class, not having any honors and stuff. Looking at Rachelle having all the medals in her head. ZOMG. I was a bit deterred. I was being seen as a "validictorian-wannabe-although-i-lack-in-high-grades" person, but they never saw the real, smart guy in me..

Yeah. The diploma given to me by Mr. Ventus, Rachelle's message that was a dull one(practically because she never read my letter which will be added "sana" to her speech).. The duller "motivational-speaker-who-was-a-alumni-of-the-school-who-became-successful-in-Singapore" moment, and the Hymn which broke my classmates to tears..

The Unity crisis, The Gazette Special Edition which was a replacement for the yearbook. The Baccalaureate and Grad practices happened right before the event...

The thought of flying Freedoms on your head..

What have really happened??

The first time he appeared in front of the television cameras was a defining moment for Eugenio Lopez III–known as Gabby, from his middle name Gabriel, or EL3 to colleagues and staff–as well as for the television network he heads, ABS-CBN.

In a brief seven-sentence statement, Lopez unequivocally took responsibility for the tragedy that has come to be known as the Wowowee stampede. Seventy-one people died and hundreds were injured among the thousands that lined up outside the Ultra stadium in Pasig that Sunday in February, hoping to be among the fortunate few to gain entry to and participate in the first anniversary extravaganza of the noontime game show Wowowee. The preliminary report of a government task force that investigated the stampede had put the blame squarely on the network, and accused it of "treating people like animals." Lopez also reacted unequivocally to that assessment, prompting the task force head to apologize to the network the next day.

Lopez’s televised statement put ABS-CBN on higher ground, salvaging a situation that could have dealt the network serious long-term damage, including a dip in share prices. Lopez later says that his decision to make the statement was "strictly instinctive," against the advise of his lawyers. In a lighter mood over dinner recently with The STAR editors, he jests that he was "trained by my wife... In any crisis it’s always kasalanan ko, so it was easy for me to say it’s my responsibility."

That decision, and his actions right after the stampede and in the days following, earned him respect and admiration all around, but most especially from the ABS-CBN staff. "Lumabas ang pagka-Geny niya," one said, referring to his late father, the legendary Geny Lopez who, with brothers Oscar and Manolo, rebuilt the Lopez empire and restored ABS-CBN to its former glory. One executive admits to some surprise that Gabby "could step up in this crisis," so now "people are rallying behind him... proud of him as their leader."

His "I am responsible" statement, delivered with conviction and sincerity, automatically drew comparison with the other famous televised "I am sorry" statement, but Lopez immediately steers away from such comparisons. He laments that the tragedy has been "turned into a political game" and he wants no part of it.

The network’s reaction to the tragedy was swift and decisive. Lopez was at the Ultra within the hour, followed by other ABS-CBN officials. The decision not to continue with the show that day was reached after serious discussion, amid fears that the remaining throng, who refused to leave, would get unruly if the show was cancelled.

Lopez says there are valuable lessons to be learned from the unfortunate episode, which will guide the network in the conduct of future big crowd events, including consulting risk management and other security experts here and abroad.

Network officials did not flinch either in the face of threats of class action suits, and spent the days after the tragedy visiting victims’ families, attending to funeral and hospital needs. This personal involvement with victims’ families gave them some surprising insights: many families expressed support for the show and host Willie Revillame, practically absolving them, some even asking if Willie would be coming to the funeral. They also wanted to know when the show would resume.

The big come back was held yesterday, still with host Willie Revillame and still under the same name, despite some suggestions that the show now be called by another name, like "Wowowin" for example.

The return of Wowowee, network executive Charo Santos explains, had to be carefully studied. There would have to be changes in the conduct of the show, especially in procedures for admitting studio audience and the manner of selection of participants in the games. New segments would also be added, such as the much touted "71 Dreams", in memory of the 71 stampede fatalities. Winners would also be counselled on how to set up businesses and manage their money, so as not to squander their winnings–a reaction, Santos admits, to charges that the show merely gave dole outs and encouraged mendicancy.

In the week prior to Wowowee’s return, the network aired feel-good "where are they now" episodes showing how past winners’ lives had changed, how dreams had in fact come true for those on whom the fates of Wowowee had smiled.

Gabby Lopez has been at the helm of ABS-CBN as chairman and CEO since 1997–"seems like forever," he sighs. Last week, he assumed the presidency as well, following the resignation of Cito Alejandro, who Lopez had brought in to the network as part of an infusion of "new blood", to return to NutriAsia, which recently acquired controlling interest in Del Monte.

Lopez is quick to dispel the notion that ABS-CBN has fallen to the number two spot nationwide. The slide, he clarifies, is only in Metro Manila, particularly in the suburbs; nationwide, he insists, "we’re still number one." The problem in Metro Manila is "partly a signal problem... the result of being a low-band channel" against rival GMA-7 being a mid-band channel.

He admits that content-wise, GMA has improved "dramatically" over the last two years. But ABS-CBN has scored a number of winners as well, including the Kris Aquino hosted "Game Ka Na Ba?" and the hugely popular reality show "Pinoy Big Brother", now on its second season featuring celebrities cloistered in a specially constructed house next to the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.

Charo Santos shares some programming plans, including acquiring other shows from the Dutch firm Endemol, which owns the Big Brother series, as well as co-production ventures with regional networks, like a 20-part series with a Malaysian network starring Piolo Pascual and Kristine Hermosa, who have a big following in Malaysia. "We also have to improve on our comedies," she says.

Wowowee was their latest attempt at competing with the 25-year runaway success "Eat Bulaga", aired on GMA-7. "We’ve tried everything to beat ‘Eat Bulaga’," admits Lopez. "We (finally) decided to try counter-programming, to put a game show against a variety show...and Wowowee is our strongest brand so far... In the last six months, we’ve done caravans in Davao, Iloilo...all over the country, and we’ve drawn hundreds of thousands."

"Even in America," adds Santos. "In fact, balikbayans make ‘Wowowee’ part of their tour."

"It’s obviously touched a nerve," says Lopez, "but even we are not sure what that nerve is. (The show) cuts across all classes, from A to E..."

With the an-nouncement of key appointments in network management last week, Lopez says the "infusion of new blood" that he has been undertaking–someone said it looks more like a "blood transfusion", which drew non-committal laughter from both Lopez and Santos–is complete.

The restructuring of ABS-CBN’s news team–notably "importing" Maria Ressa from CNN (Lopez reveals that he had been talking to Ressa for three years before she agreed to come on board in January 2005)–has shown some significant initial success, particularly drawing praise for its coverage of the Wowowee stampede. "Parang hindi sila ang involved," observed one media practitioner, noting that their coverage did not show any favor, treating it like it was a news story involving someone else.

And although Lopez jokes that his role is merely "taga-pirma lang ng tseke," a network insider notes that Lopez has begun to "take a more active interest in the news department."

In a speech recently before the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas, Lopez posed the question of whether media was "contributing toward resolving conflicts or, in Tagalog, nakakadagdag lang sa gulo (adding to the confusion)."

"Over the last 20 years, every time there’s been a major crisis we’ve been there," Lopez says, adding that "people still, for the most part, believe what they read and hear," with a majority of Filipinos still dependent on radio and television for information.

While admitting that "the business side of it still drives the whole process," Lopez believes that "at the end of the day, excellent organizations are driven by certain values, and these values help them decide what they will do in specific situations. And that’s what differentiates good organizations from organizations that are simply commercial, driven by the bottom line... Value driven organizations will occasionally make the right decision, driven by what is right."

Mr Lopez is right, after all this, the company is driven by values, and these values help them in making decisions that could make or break a company, and that's what ABS-CBN is.

I would like to quote something from their 2003 Stockholders report as a parting shot..

We can talk about the new programs. We can talk about them ratings. We can talk about new acquisitions and breakthrough technology. These are, after all, the typical ways that companies
claim their leadership, and yes, we certainly lead on those fronts.
But ABS-CBN believes that programs can be copied, technology can be bought, and ratings are a volatile, day-to-day race that hardly provide a consistent measure of success.

MARIMITE > this damn anime sure hits me with enough proudness, The color of Press Freedom launched when ABS aired the Controversial Kiss between Sei and Shizuka, the Liplocking was a bit too "tender" (as analysts said, damn it my mom ran some errands for me and didn't saw that "Close-Up"[or was it?] moment) but as I say, ABS is now defying the Government, and Press Freedom has been more freer than ever..

2. MIRMO DE PON > this cutesy anime will make me wake up at 0900. I heard rave reviews for this anime and, I have to say, Sir Mike Punzalan should be awarded for his job for this..

3. Mr. Lopez's Reforms > yeah, Mr. Gabby Lopez took the helm of ABS-CBN after Mr. Cito Alejandro "resigned" from the station due to a "career move", And things have gone backward.. ABS regains again the lost spot, PBBCE has been intensified, Animes has been added and New titles like Yakitate and SEED Destiny will come up, Truly, this will be the Start of a new beginning to our Kapamlya network..

Our first year is coming up fast!!!! April the 12th is coming fast and so is the Ozine fest!!!

Although this may sound a bit more libelous and
the die hards (like Melongoloid) could sue me (or
even ban me from FS) for this exposeries , I will
not stop, Responsibility is my weapon, and my duty
is to inform you all...

According to my Sister, Mr. Ventus heard the
private chit chat of the teachers during their
lunch break.. He heard from Mr. Lim (My sister's
adviser) that Mr. Ventus is.. you know,,. After he
heard it, He suddenly went to the faculty room and
scolded the teachers,

Which came down to Firing of some teachers..Mr.
Sayo, Ms. Galero and Mr. Lim to name a few..

And then, some teachers Resigned, like Ms. Dis
Aguen, Ms. Rabosa, Ms. Pestanio etc..

Only a few will remain, Mam Pepay, Ms. Lamadrid,

Let's support the fired teachers. They SHOULD NOT

Gozon says GMA 7 still No. 1

“ABS-CBN SHOULD BE RUN THE WAY ITS leaders think it should be run. It’s their prerogative to hire more personnel or promote their employees,” said Felipe Gozon, president of GMA 7.

Inquirer Entertainment earlier sought Gozon’s opinion on the current organizational movements within rival network ABS-CBN.

“I’m not in a position to talk about these changes extensively. Whatever I would say could be construed as result of the fact that we’re in competition,” Gozon said on Wednesday.

Luis Alejandro announced last week his decision to leave the Kapamilya network after being president and chief operating officer for two years. Eugenio “Gabby” Lopez III, formerly chair and chief executive officer, assumed the presidency; former executive vice president for entertainment Charo Santos-Concio is now EVP and channel head.

Antonio Ventosa, previously managing director of Hemisphere Leo Burnett Advertising, is now head of ABS-CBN marketing. Agustin Benitez, until recently associated managing director of ABC 5, is now head of customer development group.

Gozon said rumors reaching him say GMA 7’s prime time programs now suffer from poor ratings because ABS-CBN is slowly reclaiming the top spots, especially through “Pinoy Big Brother” and “Gulong ng Palad.”

Not true

“These rumors aren’t true,” Gozon said. “The best evidence is the result of the most recent survey.” He said the survey result will be released this week. “It’s normal for ratings go up and down. Most of these [ABS-CBN] shows have poor ratings. Hype lang ’yan. Soon people will know the truth.”

As for President Macapagal-Arroyo’s Proclamation 1017, Gozon pointed out that GMA 7, a parent company of INQ7.net, will always be “against any assault to freedom of speech and of expression.”

The proclamation, which declared a national state of emergency, was followed by a raid on The Daily Tribune offices in Port Area, Manila, and the arrest of personalities known to oppose the administration. Ms Arroyo withdrew the declaration on Friday.

Gozon said, “[I am] confident that because of our Ethics and Editorial Manual [for broadcast news], we are more or less safe.”

He said the network understood the “special circumstances” that prompted Ms Arroyo to issue Proclamation 1017. “We just don’t know if the bases for the declaration are true or not. As a lawyer, I believe that only if the bases are proven to be true can the declaration be justified.”

After two weeks of disappointment, Arakawa wins a big gold for Japan

TURIN, Italy (AP) -- It was a very long two weeks for Japan. First the snowboarders crashed out, with one ending up in the hospital. The speedskaters bombed. The curlers and the bobsledders never had much of a chance.

Then figure skater Shizuka Arakawa hit the ice and made everything right again.

"I'm speechless," she said after a dazzling performance Thursday to steal the gold away from Sasha Cohen of the United States and Irina Slutskaya of Russia. "I never expected to win Japan's first medal. But I'm happy that I did."

Not only was it the first medal of the Turin Games for Japan, it was the first time a Japanese woman had ever won figure skating gold. The previous best was a silver by Midori Ito in 1992.

"One gold is worth 10 bronzes," said Kenichi Chizuka, the head of Japan's Olympic delegation.

The Japanese came here looking strong. Their contingent in Turin also included figure skater Fumie Suguri, the national champion and a two-time bronze medalist in the world championships, and 2004 junior world champion Miki Ando. The three skaters were seen as medal contenders, if longshots for the gold.

On the first day of competition, Arakawa and Suguri put in strong short programs, finishing third and fourth.

Ando, going into the free skate in eighth place, tried to make Olympic history with a quadruple salchow -- she's the only woman to have done one successfully in competition -- but stumbled and then missed most of her remaining jumps.

"I really wanted to make that jump in front of everyone," the 18-year-old said of her Olympic debut. "I was nervous in a way that I've never been before."

When it was Arakawa's turn, however, everything went right.

After watching Cohen fall on her first two jumps, Arakawa skated one of her best free programs ever, scoring a personal best 125.32 points. When Slutskaya fell midway through her program, it was over.

"Overall, I felt very good," Arakawa said. "I'm just very surprised."

Suguri, at 25 the oldest of the three Japanese skaters, was up next, and put in a clean and emotional -- but less challenging -- program. Her scores weren't high enough to give her the boost she needed and she finished fourth.

"I skated almost like 100 percent," Suguri said. "But unfortunately I'm not on the podium. It's difficult."

Arakawa, 24, hadn't been on the podium much lately, either.

This season had been especially disappointing, with no wins and three third-place finishes, two of them behind Cohen and Slutskaya.

She almost didn't even make it that far. Hurt by injuries and homesick from training abroad, she had considered retiring after her 2004 championship.

"I'm very glad now that I chose to continue," she said.

The thing Joey De leon did will make Chaos,, A Chaos that will end his career,, I would only commend Vic Sotto for his Kindheartedness in the time of the Tragedy,, and yeah,, The Network War halted for a sum of 27 hours,, but the Problems that hound ABS-CBN (including facing closure), will hound them,, and I,, as a true Kapamilya anime otaku,, i sense the closure as a full damn stupidity..., And also,, the assertion given by Usec. Corpus as "feeding a small piece of Meat on a hungry pack of wolves" is also very, very unethical and very disgusting

To Mr. Joey De Leon, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,, you already made fun of the situation,, You even told once that the Ratings of Wowowee does not match your show,,Well, It's time to wake up.. to the situation that,, You are now going to face the people who will soon, laugh at you..

I saw bodies,, wrapped in "banig" and rice sacks.. I heard Mr. Wowowee himself,, Willie Revillame, cried over the phone and yeah.. he cried

Picture this,, You are the host of your own show and thousands gathered to watch and win prizes intended for the poor folks of ours,, And yet, a tragedy struck in your Anniversary in which 74 people perished (mostly elder women) and more than 600 injured,, How will you celebrate your anniversary in that?!?

A year full of Controversies, Intrigues and Other than that,, Victory, Since we started last April, We delivered to you the Freshest Anime Commentary on this side of the Web, With the help of our Kapamilya Anime Otakus in the ABS-CBN Forums, We gave you the Juice of What's in and out.

We never expected that we will target MORE THAN A THOUSAND Hits and average of 20 to 30 uniques a week,, But this is not only for the numbers that we say a big thank you,, We thank you for those who left a message or two on our chatterbox, For those who commented on every blog post I make, For those who made the support on our Crusade, And for those who BELIEVED IN ME,, I am a potential newbie blogger, but I am an Expert in making this blog worth your visit because of the Latest, freshest and Toughest analysis in side of the web..

The year was full of Anime Issues, We expected the year to be a big bang year for anime, With the airing Of Gundam SEED Last December 2004, We expected ABS will recover, But the goons at the Other Station left us grieving,, They gave 'em all the lies that they made to destroy SEED's ratings,, What's more, We expected that the SEED's Historical final Airing last 04 March 2005 will be a Rating winner, A kawaii, but instead,, The goons told us "gomen"

I gave up. I became angry, that Is why I started this blog,, First on Friendster, Then on Blogger, I am scared that I will take a few audience,, A few hits. But a Light came when Kuya Jamibu and Anime Kabayan Linked us last May.. And so is Ate Colleen, SoulAssassin, Nagi, keia and 9 other bloggers..

The month I graduated,, March 2005, Was the month full of Hopes and Dreams for me, After a 2-month school vacation,, I returned last 15th of June 2005, In a new college, A new start, New friends.. I never thought,, This will be the peak of my Otaku-ship

Pangatlo, ang paghihirap ng mga Anime dubbers para sa kanilang rekognisyon o pagkilala. Kilala natin sina Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Edu Manzano atbp. Ngunit kilala nyo ba sina Jeff Utanes, Michael Punzalan, Wendy Villacorta-De Leon, Blair Arellano at Katherine Masilongan?? Sila ang mga boses sa likod ng mga paborito nyong mga karakter na sina Kouya Marino, Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Uzomaki Naruto at Haruno Sakura. Hindi natin sila nakikilala dahil kulang sila sa rekognisyon at pagkilala. Maalala natin ang isang lathalain sa Abante Tonite noong Mayo na hindi sila nakakatanggap ng sapat na pasahod, benepisyo atbp, Ganyan din si Megumi Ogata. Isang kinkilalang dubber sa Hapon, Ayon kay soulassassin, Kaparehong-kapareho ang sitwasyon ng mga dubbers sa Hapon nang dito rin sa Pilipinas. Kaya marapat lamang na kilalanin, respetuhin at tratuhin natin sila bilang mga artista na rin dahil sa kanilang ginagawa na para mahiatid ang puso ng karakter na ginagalawan nila.

At Panghuli. Nakakasawa na ang pagpapalabas ng mga Tsinobela at Koreanobela sa telebisyon. Ito ang siyang pangunahing dahilan ng pagkasira ng anime. Ang mga iskedyul nito ay pilit na inilalalgay sa mg sagradong oras ng anime (5:00 – 6:00NH). Nakakasawa na ang ganitong pamamalakad ng mga Ehekutibo ng mga istasyon. Gusto kong sabihin sa araw na ito. Na ang mga anime otaku ay hindi isang minorya lang. Kami rin ay nagkakaisa at nakikibahagi rin sa lipunang aming ginagalawan. Ngunit nakikita rin namin ang bawat galaw ng mga prorgrama sa Telebisyon. Kaya ipinahahayag ko na dapat magkaroon ng PANTAY-PANTAY NA REKOGNISYON SA ANIME!!

This is my Analysis of The 2005 Otaku's Verdict

1. Anime of The Year= Naruto = Deserves to be, It is ABS's gem of the Year 2005, It helped ABS in the Ratings slump for a year and a Half

2. Teen Anime Of The Year = Fruits Basket = Storyline is 99.98% Clear, Dubbing is 99.98% Accurate, Pacing is very very superb, And also it's ending was the most talked about in the forums here..

3. ABS's Rerun of The Year = Gundam Seed = Quote something from "Gundam SEED A Situationer"

4. Local Anime Channel of The Year = ABS-CBN= Definitely, It's No Joke

5. Year 2005 Rating = BAD= yeah, this year's a bad year for anime, Monkeys were scrounching around the animes of the networks, Thinking about what to do with animes revolved a controversy that launched a crusade,And there were Two faces of Anime Leadership. A demoralized CEO who made plans on the First Tagalog Dubbed Anime channel, that even with the slump his company has, managed to grab hold of the Otakus,, And a Fat CEO wanting to destroy Anime through the use of the Korean Invasion..

Moreso, we cannot separate from TFC since we need to establish more audience. As we all know, ABS-CBN has a firm establishment overseas and we cannot exceed expenditures from being an independent cable channel. Regarding QTV’s weak transmission, we are still investigating it whether it is an internal or an external problem. Even GMA channel 7 is experiencing weak cable transmission with Sky and Home Cable.We have already notified the proper authorities regarding this issue.

GMA channel 7 management is not always after the TV ratings. We are more for quality programs and satisfied TV viewers. Every TV station earns from commercials placed in ad spaces of different programs and ratings have an effect on the companies that advertise on us. Therefore, ratings are also important in producing more quality shows.

I will tell you a fact. Five years ago, GMA channel 7 borrowed an estimated 1.9 billion dollars from the World Bank and we already paid it in full two years ago.
Business is really booming since we were able to pay wholly our international
debt in almost 4 years.

ABS-CBN has a lousy way of translating their anime!!! 4 example, in yugioh duel monsters!!! tawag nila minsan sa trap cards ay magic card & vis versa! minsan tawag nila sa attack ng monster mali!!! i remember the episode na nag laban si kaiba @ noah na nilabas ni noah yung gladius w/ the attack name cyclone laser @ somehow nagkamali yung pagkadub @ tinawag ni kaiba sa attack ng blu-eyes white dragon cyclone laser din!!

A: Yes and No.

Yes, because they show good animes. No because they dont finish what they started and the dubbing is subpar at best.

HERO was ABS-CBN's way of raising their morale in the anime industry!! but its not that successful cuz the anime here were already aired or still being air by ABS-CBN & GMA!!! Hero is a great anime channel 4 people who want 2 watch the old classics that they use to!!!

GMA is now ahead of ABS cuz they GMA concentrats more on eastern animation rather than western animation compared 2 ABS!!! ABS/HERO aires cartoons like "Shawon of the Elves", "Mission Odyssy", "Mr Bean", etc. than only attract FEW people!!! people these days want cartoon/anime that are very animated of full of action, suspense, drama, etc.!!! tak 4 example, "Justice League Unlimited", "The Batman", "Teen Titans", "Avatar the Last Airbender" are some great western animation that people still love even though they are not anime because they have a great story(JLU wins this) & great animation actions(the batman, teen titans, & avatar wins this)!!!!

And compare GMA from ABS, GMA finishes most of their anime & still manages 2 have high ratings in the end! ABS however, delays their anime shows like Naruto 2 further the series thinking people would still try to watch this if they repeat it!!!!

ABS shows good animes but then the usually 30-minute long anime episodes are cute short due to:
1. commercial breaks
2. prior/succeeding programs -- naalala ko dati mga 15minutes lang ata yung Zenki (yeah oldies!) dahil ni-extend yung soap opera before nun

also i dont think they were ever at par w/ GMA's efforts to be THE anime channel (remember We Are Anime?). their focus is more on the telenovela stuff >_<

In 1989, ABS-CBN ventured in National Satellite Broadcasting, And by 1990, All ABS-CBN Programs are now nationwidely seen, giving advertisers a bigger market share, And since, that time, ABS-CBN was (and still is) Philippines' No. 1 Network, Advertisers were gone ga-ga over ABS's satellite venture

Early 1994, ABS went on something EXTRAORDINARY, With the help of MR. FREDDIE GARCIA(Former Vice Chairman/Presodent/COO of ABS-CBN) They dubbed Some World Heritage Anime (or early morning anime) into the Local Tongue(i.e, Cebuano, Ilonggo, Ilocano) for Distribution in the ABS-CBN RTVG(former name of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group), This helped the prescence of these into the provincial market

But what have we discovered, That as early as 1999-2000, All Anime shown under ABS-CBN were now "available in SELECT areas only", and they only either show it only in AREAS OF LUZON ONLY, which was more devastating

Why is ABS-CBN Doing this??

Eitherway, It's
1. They want to beef up more on primetime
2. It's either they want anime or they will concentrate on local programming, which, btw, is ABS's expertise
3. The stupid persons of ABS want to hedge out Anime from the provinces, giving their reasons like Anime is not for "provincial-minded" persons only, or.
4. The new management wants programs that are nationally-friendly to the advertisers, like "Asianovelas"

All I can say is "VERY INTOLERABLE INDEED"

Even Anime Kabayan once told me that they start on Beyblade V-force, Gundam SEED was a victim of the RNG's intolerability (so many times), He said to me in this post from the ABS-CBN Forums,

What will ABS-CBN do in this??, Although they rank No. 1 in the provinces, ANIME CONCENTRATION IS A MUST in these provinces, Ideally, targeting that market for Anime sounds to me as the best suggestion, But ABS must be aware that not all probinsyanos are not anime lovers, So they must either

1. Make time for Provincial Programs and Anime (could be anywhere from 1600-1800)
2. Get rid all those filler programs
3. Make TOTAL TRI-MEDIA promos for Anime, these will give anime a more nationalistic touch.

Now is the Time ABS should be more serious on anime, If they can simulcast "Homeboy" or "Pinoy Big Brother",If they want to be No. 1 in the Provinces, Why not ANIME??,

PS> ABS did damage control on HERO, they are doing national anime broadcasts which ABS failed to do.

If Anime is the main priority of a TV network, maybe it will beef up it's programmes with at least 40 pct. News, 40 pct. Gen. Entertainment and at least 20% anime

But all, I mean ALL stations Does not follow the format, instead ,they follow the WORST format, 60% goes to Gen. Entertainment, 35% to news and current affairs, and, 5% to Anime,, which, is to me, a WITCH'S BREW

By all means, what am i trying to say is, The NETWORKS DO NOT HAVE THE INITIATIVE to Air Anime on it's Prime Sked(3:00 to 6:30 PM)

what could be the reason why the networks do not air anime on it's primetime??

Gundam SEED, A Situationer

Hmm, for the past 8 months already, I am still applauding Gundam SEED, It is one of ABS-CBN's Jewelled Anime Treasures and much as I applaud the WHOLE ABS-CBN Anime Department like Ms. Evelyn Raymundo, Ms. Millette Mortiz, And the Dubbers particularly Mr. Michael Punzalan(also the dubbing director), Ms. Wendy Villacorta, Mr. Louie Paraboles, Ms. Teng Masilungan, Mr. Raffy Miranda, Mr. Jeff Utanes, Mr. Bernie Malejana, Mr. Alexx Agcaoili, Ms. Maripette Narvasa and the other Dubbers, Since the start of Gundam SEED, It was the Most Beautiful series that I've ever saw on ABS-CBN, Better than "Marina" or "Kampanerang Kuba" or even the upcoming "Panday"

But from what I have observed is that, We all knew that ABS launched(not premiered) the series early October, While the Ragnarok the Animation is still in craze over Mega Manila, Rumors had told that GS was going to make a big switch because primarily, GM* was at the Helm of the Gundam series, But when ABS aired some of Sunrise Ltd./TBS/MBS/JNN animes on their anime block, It was concluded therefore that GS will be at ABS-CBN

and the rumors , therefore , were correct

There did some suspicions on whether ABS will tolerate GS as if like a cartoon series, IT became false when ABS run on it's primetime block PROMO ads of the upcoming Series as early as October, Everybody was clueless on who's to dub, what ABS is going to do on the Series, what will be the treatment, Etc etc.

When the series was aired over Mega Manila last December, everybody was expecting that the Series will lead against the UNPHENOMENAL Slam Dunk, But, as much as I was going to expect a double-digit rating on GS. It was not.

It was a mere chance of "chased by the enemy" type, the FAT MEN Of the other network were very very happy on the result, GS was lagging behind the stupid anime by a mere 17 percent or more, according to their Index known as the "Kanguso Magazine", Yeah, How sad but true, Also, the loss was also attributed to the non-nationalization of the Anime(yeah, no Satellite Feeds of GS to the Other RNG stations because of "localization"
But anyway, although lost in the ratings, GS held more fans than the old stupid rerun, It created more fans and more people believed that ABS is going to tolerate GS as if like CN's version, That is why Fans like yours truly made a sound-stepping petition to AIR THE SEQUEL OF THE SERIES, because we believe, that ABS-CBN is the only one who can DUB, AIR AND MAKE FANS OUT OF Destiny,

So now, I hope that you are now more enlightened at the situation of GS when it was on it's regular run and I hope, after this, you may be able to join in my crusade by waking up at 0700PHT(2300GMT/1800EST) to watch Gundam SEED, Only here on Kapamilya (one in family) ABS-CBN

*TRIVIA* Do you knew that GS is the Only anime that was preceded by the Full Version of the Christmas Station ID of ABS-CBN! and also, The newscasters of TVP World were also keen on watching GS before it was moved on the 1730PHT slot!!!

Earlier today, I was fretting about the new cable connection in our house, Yeah, I am not in Skycable anymore, It was hard to accept that I was going to watch DESTINY, No, Not GSD, The OTHER Destiny, GLOBAL Destiny Cable, Yeah, Still on fret mode today, poohoo,,

It was hard to accept that I am not able to see HERO and Animax for the rest of my life, considering that Destiny has "more" channel choices than Sky and Home, ALL FOR A MEASLY PHP500(Less $9) per month, YOU WILL SEE NO ANIME CHANNEL ON THEIR LINEUP,

That is why my Uncle chose GDC, Because of their "ever-popular" HORSE RACING CHANNELS

Hmm, very quite sad, Anyway, I'll wait for the rumored merge of BCI and GDC, maybe in the near future, for the meantime, I can still watch GS on 0700PHT(2300GMT) after a health show here on ABS-CBN., that way, I can survive the impact

Earlier, I asked my sister to lend me a copy of the FS Gazette, my Alma Mater's official schoolpaper, MY GOD, I Really Don't know what now happened to the Gazette, It now became a haven for Irresponsible Journalism, Cathy was not realizing that, SHE SHOULD NOT BE AN EDITOR IN CHIEF AND A SSC PRESIDENT BECAUSE OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST!!, I am pushing her to RESIGN as an SSC or an Gazette Editor because it tends to lose credibility as An INDEPENDENT PAPER, or so i thought, IT IS NOT INDEPENDENT ANYMORE, it is now the VOICE OF THE ADMINISTRATION ON LAMEST ISSUES, Since I was at the helm on the Gazette's News Desk last year until I left, I NEVER, EVER CREATED A LAMBASTING EDITORIAL COLUMN BECAUSE OF "LOST SPACE"!!!!!! This is the story of a Guild that I Truly admire, even though it may sound a Bit strange to create a Blog post about a Guild that may sound Strange because of it's "kabahuan" yet we are calling ourselves as... E B A K, mga FUFU, Eto na ang hinihintay nyo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why They are named EBAK?? Is it because of the Members and the GM's who confesss to be "fufu"???? or because We are too stinky to challenge others???. Strangely Enough,, it is none of the two.

EBAK Came from Four guilds, Estrus, Bamboo, Astronix and Kawayan,, Who bonded themselves to create a guild which is far better and far more stronger than their predecessors, It's predecessors in the Loki Guild are Immortalz and Virus, which, for me, are the Two best guilds in terms of "kulitan"

The first time EBAK Saw action was just last Feb or Mar, I think, Since then , It has been handled by the 6 most powerful and influential but Funny Guildmasters and Consultants,, Namely:

Oh, the happiness that i am experiencing right now,, hmm, what could it be??

1. I just received a new sig from SoulAssassin, it was very very nice and it was very intricate,, I thanked him and i am currently using it on the two forums., if you want to see it, click on the link

2. I am in a Guild which is very unique, although it is very "mabaho" in nature, but they are the most friendly guild that i've ever joined.. they are known in the whole of Loki, my server, their name is E B A K,, Many special thanks to Kuya Ian (smoke, who accepted me at the first place, /gg), Fafa Rene (rusher), kuya Mikel(GM AnnE) and Kuya Marc (Fuji) and also to all of the other GM's (Xerxes, Nostradamus and Soji) and guild members for accepting me into the guild, now i can be playing RO a my inspiration into my schoolwork.

3. I am supported by Kuya Jamibu, Anime Kabayan, Kuya Tetsu, Soul Assassin, Evil Eye, Prodigy, Ate Colleen, Ronin and other anime fans who support my endeavours, Being an anime fan, commentator and otaku is a tough job, it is like having your feet on the deathzone because of what you are doing, tirades, comments, etc. etc.. and doing a hard time watching animax, hero, abs-cbn and, if circumstances allow, gma critically to get the message of the anime, but then again, being in their shoes makes me feel better than being alone.. I know that they are supporting me and I am 100% supporting them.. Thank you guys for making me happy!

4. I am in a section that is very much happy, A106 of LP,, these guys should be given a certificate of happiness because they are the most wacky, funny, jolly and other things that you can define the word happy, even though we are given terrible problems, i tell you, they are mostly happy even when tough times are met,, Thank you to Ms. Jeriny Geronimo and My classmates, hmm, i can't say em all but i know you guys,, Thank you for making me happy!. and lastly..

5. My one and only personal companions, my Family, my Closer Friends, my High school and Elementary friends, etc. They were there in all challenges of my life,, Triumphs, defeats, challenges,, i really wanted to thank them because they make my life more happy, and they signify that i am not alone in my life,. again,, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME HAPPY!!

I end my post with this,, I maybe the most terrible loner, but i am happy because of all of these people in my life in the past 17 years,, I may or may not forget them, but i know, they will and WILL have a place in my heart. especially the one whom i love..

hmm, After the Saturday posting of our Talumpati , I thought, that If I can start the Anime Revolution in LP, there would and would be some negations and disagreements, Of course, they, of course, will not slap me with some "violations of the constitution" because of just forming an Anime club!!., Slap me with some agreeable offense if they want to. I am not violating the Lyceum constitution of students. rather, I was just only forming a club that would cater to the mindsets of the Lyceum community., anime is a big problem here at LP, nobody dared to form an anime club. simply because (i think), the SAO will not entertain any club formations on and about "evil inspiration". HECK NO!!, there is no evil in anime. the Ideas of anime otakus are deeply embodied in them. But why are they telling us that WE ARE EVIL, VIOLENT, UNFRIENDLY, etc. And also we are also TRYING TO VIOLATE THE CHILDREN'S TELEVISION ACT OF 1997, We are dictating the stations and THEY also accused us of DEAFINING THE GOOD MINDSETS OF THE FILIPINO CHILDREN. Mag Cruz Hatol of SEAFCTV, what can you say??

The SEAFCTV also wants to DICTATE to the MANAGEMENTS of the STATIONS that Anime is violent and therefore REPLACE it with CHILDRENS SHOWS that are, If not DOWNRIGHT MEDIOCRE, but TOTALLY ABSURD AND TOO CHILDISH which the SEAFCTV knows as "child friendly", totally ABSURD AND INSULTING TO THE OTAKUS!!!

And i'll keep an eye on EMILY ABRERA, the new director of ABS-CBN who came from an advertising company (correct me if i'm wrong, but she is from McCannErickson) who staunchly supports "CHILD(ish) and FAMILY(ish) PROGRAMMING", therefore, A threat to HERO TV and ABS-CBN's Anime Management.

Wherefore, As I end my post here. let me remind you of the controversy in Anime here in the Philippines. WE LOVE IT, OTHERS MAY HATE IT, but we are totally aware of the situation. And if ever SEAFCTV puts a PERMANENT Ban on Anime., if including the DREADED BAN on GUNDAM SEED DESTINY. well, we know what to do.

Bago ko sasabihin kung ano ang mga problemang hinaharap ng Anime sa kasalukuyan, Ipapaliwanag ko muna kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng Anime, ang pagsisimula nito sa bansang Hapon at sa buong Mundo, at ang pagsisimula ng isang rebolusyon sa Pilipinas .

Ang Anime ay isang ekspresyong Hapon na ang ibig sabihin ay “any and all animation or cartoon - regardless of the genre, style, or nation of origin. Outside of Japan the word "anime" has come to refer specifically to animation of Japanese origins” ayon sa Anime News Network.

Sinasabi naman na nagsimula ang Anime kay Ozamu Tezuka, isang obrero ng pabrika. Dala na rin ng kanyang imahinasyon at panonood niya ng mga cartoons ni Walt Disney, ay sinimulan niya ang “Astro Boy”. Ang istorya para dito ay ibinase niya sa kanyang manga (komiks na gawa ng hapon). Dahil dito, dinadakila na ngayon siya ng mga anime otaku (fans at supporters ng anime) at tinatagurian na ngayong siyang “ama ng anime” at dito nagsimula ang isang rebolusyon na magtatagal hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Sa buong mundo, nito lamang dekada ’70 hanggang ’80 lamang umusbong ang rebolusyong ito. dahil na rin sa mga anime na katulad ng “Mazinger Z”, “Mobile Suit Gundam” at iba pang mga “mecha” anime o anime na may kaugnayan sa mga robot. At dito rin sa taong ito nakalasap ang Pilipinas ng unang tikim ng Anime.

Nagsimula ito noong 1979. nang ipalabas ng GMA Radio and Television Arts ang “Voltes V”, at dito na nagsimula ang kabi-kabilang pagpapalabas ng Anime. Ngunit natigil ito dahil sa isang proklamasyon ni Dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos na nasgsasabing “bayolente” ang palabas na ito at maaring makasama sa “pamilya at lipunan”. Ngunit ayon sa Anime News Network. Posibleng itinigil ito ng diktador dahil napakamalapit ito sa sitwasyon ng Pilipinas noong panahong iyon.
Ang pagpapahintong ito, ayon kay Marlo Magtibay, isang anime critic/commentator,sa kanyang website ang lalo pang “nagpaalab ng puso at damdamin ng mga Pilipino”. Kaya noong napaalis ang diktador noong 1986, nagbalik na rin ang kalayaan sa pagsasahimpapawid ng mga obrang ito. “Nagsimula ito sa ‘Daimos’, ‘Transformers’, ‘Macross’ atbp. sa hawak ng gobyernong networkna IBC-Islands TV 13 at RPN channel 9” ayon sa isang anime commentator na tatawagin nating si soulassasin.

Nagkaroon ng lay-low ang anime noong 1987-1989 hanggang sa lumabas ulit ito noong 1994, sa pamamagitan ng TV network na ABS-CBN ang “Julio at Julia” na idinirehe ni Danilo “Danny” Mandia, isang beteranong radio talent. Naging malaking hit na ito dahil ito ang kauna-unahang anime na gumamit ng Wikang Pambansa bilang boses nito. At ito ay sinimulan ng Dating Pangulo ng ABS-CBN na si G. Federico “Freddie” Garcia.

Dahil sa rebolusyong ito, lalong sumingkad ang anime sa Pilipinas mula noong taong 1994 hanggang 1998. Nagkaroon na rin ng bagong trabaho ang mga dating radio talent bilang mga dubbers. At ang mga istasyon ay gumagawa na rin mga hakbang para ang anime ay maging parte ng pang-araw-araw na kultura ng Pilipino. Noong panahong ding ito naging sikat ang “Zenki” at “BT’x” ng ABS-CBN

1999, Bumalik ang Voltes V na may moniker o pahaging na “The Biggest Anime Series Comeback of the Second Millennium” , Bumalik ito sa dating tahanan na GMA 7, kasama pa ang mga anime na “Gundam Wing”’, “Gundam G” sa GMA, at “Tenchi Muyo” at ang pinakasucessful na ”Neon Genesis Evangelion” sa ABS-CBN. Naging parte na rin ng network war ang Anime dahil sa kabi-kabila na paglalagay ng schedule nito sa programming ng dalawang network

Noong panahon na nagkakagulo na ang Pilipinas, taong 2001 ay nagkaroon ng isang malaking pagkauhaw ang anime dahil sa Impeachment Trial ni Dating Pangulong Joseph Estrada. Kabi-kabila ang coverage ng dalawang network para dito at talagang nasakripisyo ng husto ang anime.

Mapunta tayo sa kasalukuyan, 2004-2005. Ang anime ay hindi na kasing-tindi mula noong naging kalakasan nito noong 1994. Kahit na sabihin na natin na naging maganda ang taon para sa anime, hindi natin maiiwasan ang mga kabi-kabilang problema na nararanasan ng anime. Una na dito ang pangaalipusta ng isang anime na tinaguriang napakaganda. Ito ay ang “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED”. Pangalawa, ang panggagamit ng isang network para mapasakamay ang isang maitim na hangarin na manguna. Pangatlo, ang paghihirap ng mga anime dubbers ngunit hindi sila nabibigyan ng kakauting pagkilala. Pang-Apat, ang kakaulangan ng rekongisyon ng anime club At panghuli, ang pagpapalawak ng kulturang Tsino at Koreano.

PANININDIGAN

Paniniginanin natin ang mga problema at ang mga kaakibat na solusyon na dito. Ang unang paninindigan ukol sa “Gundam SEED” ay mahalaga, Ayon kay Magtibay. Ito “ang pinakamagandang Gundam series sa panahong ito...”. Maaring hindi kayo sasang-ayon dito sa sinasabi ko, ngunit ang kalabang anime na siyang nagpalabas ng mga tirada at patutsada na paukol dito ang sumira sa magandang anime na ito. Ang anime na ito ay mahigpit na lumaban sa Gundam SEED, at nagwagi sila. Kaya hindi malayong maging kapwa-Pilipino rin ang sisira sa rebolusyon ng Anime.

Pangalawa. Ang panggagamit ng anime ng isang makapangyarihang network upang maihangad ang kanilang patuloy na pangunguna. Ang network na ito ay tilang sadyang “inilulubog sa sariling mantika” ngayon. Sa kadahilanan ng pagpupunyagi ng isang Kapamilya na ihatid ang anime para sa nakararaming manonood sa pamamagitan ng HERO TV. Nalubog sila. Sila rin ang nanguna sa pagapapahaging na sila ang anime. At sila rin ang awtoridad ng anime. Nasaan na ang pagiging awtoridad nila?? Wala!!. Nalubog dahil sa pagkagahaman at pagiimpok ng mga programang sisira sa anime at pagkikipot ng airtime para dito. Ika nga ni Magtibay sa kanyang weblog, “Sa palagay ninyo ba, nasa inyo ang pagiging OTORIDAD ng anime? Inayos ba ninyo ang buhay ninyo?Hihintayin ko ang sagot ninyo... Basta ako, hindi ako nagkulang sa pagpapaalala... Pero ayaw ninyong makinig... Iyan tuloy ang sinapit ninyo... Kasalanan ninyo iyan... Mahirap bang gawin ang mga pinakikiusap ko sa inyo?”

Pangatlo, ang paghihirap ng mga Anime dubbers para sa kanilang rekognisyon o pagkilala. Kilala natin sina Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Edu Manzano atbp. Ngunit kilala nyo ba sina Jeff Utanes, Michael Punzalan, Wendy Villacorta-De Leon, Blair Arellano at Katherine Masilongan?? Sila ang mga boses sa likod ng mga paborito nyong mga karakter na sina Kouya Marino, Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Uzomaki Naruto at Haruno Sakura. Hindi natin sila nakikilala dahil kulang sila sa rekognisyon at pagkilala. Maalala natin ang isang lathalain sa Abante Tonite noong Mayo na hindi sila nakakatanggap ng sapat na pasahod, benepisyo atbp, Ganyan din si Megumi Ogata. Isang kinkilalang dubber sa Hapon, Ayon kay soulassassin, Kaparehong-kapareho ang sitwasyon ng mga dubbers sa Hapon nang dito rin sa Pilipinas. Kaya marapat lamang na kilalanin, respetuhin at tratuhin natin sila bilang mga artista na rin dahil sa kanilang ginagawa na para mahiatid ang puso ng karakter na ginagalawan nila.

Pang-apat. Rekognisyon ng mga anime club sa mga kolehiyoat unibersidad. Ang lahat ng mga otaku ay nagsumikap na magkaroon ng dausan ng kanilang mga sentimyento at hinaing. Pinilit nilang magkaroon ng anime club sa kani-kanilang mga unibersidad, May iba na naging matagumpay. May iba na nasira. Ngunit isa lang ang gusto kong maipahayag sa araw na ito. Dapat ay maihanay ang mga anime club bilang mga kasapi sa mga college-based o school-based organizations. Mali ang gustong iparating ng mga kumakalaban sa anime na nakakasama sa pag-aaral ang anime. Mali rin ang paratang na ang mga anime otaku ay pabor sa kaharasan. Ang paghaharang na ito ang di malayong sisira rin sa pag-iisa ng mga anime otaku sa buong Pilipinas.

At Panghuli. Nakakasawa na ang pagpapalabas ng mga Tsinobela at Koreanobela sa telebisyon. Ito ang siyang pangunahing dahilan ng pagkasira ng anime. Ang mga iskedyul nito ay pilit na inilalalgay sa mg sagradong oras ng anime (5:00 – 6:00NH). Nakakasawa na ang ganitong pamamalakad ng mga Ehekutibo ng mga istasyon. Gusto kong sabihin sa araw na ito. Na ang mga anime otaku ay hindi isang minorya lang. Kami rin ay nagkakaisa at nakikibahagi rin sa lipunang aming ginagalawan. Ngunit nakikita rin namin ang bawat galaw ng mga prorgrama sa Telebisyon. Kaya ipinahahayag ko na dapat magkaroon ng PANTAY-PANTAY NA REKOGNISYON SA ANIME!!

Bilang panghuling mensahe. Nais kong iparating na kaming mga komentarista sa anime ang siyang naging susi sa paglalapit ng anime at pagkakaroon ng isang malalalimang usapan ukol sa paksang ito. 2. ung mga opening and closing credits,, bkit po ito pinuputol,, marami na pong anime fans and otakus ang nagrereklamo,, dhil po ba ito sa MTRCB?? (mas maganda pa po kung yng filipino staff and crew yung nilalagay sa credits kaysa sa putulin ung OP/ED)

sasagutin as much as i know your questions...sa number 1...hindi na sila mag-aabala na gawan pa ng magandang teaser ang isang programa kung ito ay patapos na. ang process kasi niyan, kung ano yung nagawa na nung una, uulit-ulitin na lang nila yun hanggang sa makatapos sila ng kung ilan mang replays...
sa number 2...pasensya sa mga nagagalit...ganito yan...pinuputol ang programa to give way to the succeeding program. aminin natin na hindi maganda ang programming ng abs cbn kasi nga dahil the management gives way to the early programs na hindi pwedeng i-sacrifice ang time gaya ng bagong shows (yung kay willie, kay kris, sa mga newsupdates, etc.) malaking factor yun sa mga programs na nasa itaas...oo, nung una uso sa amin na ilagay sa credits ang names ng mga dubbers. abs cbn ang nagpa-uso nun, kami-kami pa nina danny mandia, monty repuyan, wendy villacorta and some other veterans. ngayon, hindi na kasi nga pinuputol na rin ng editing team.
sa ikatlong tanong...hindi ko alam sa management kung ano'ng move ang gagawin nila with timeslots and runningtimes...confidential na yun and we are not allowed to know them, hanggang studio operations na lang kami>> sa dubbing, directing, translation and some simpler stuff...pagdating sa decisions nila, ala na kami nalalaman pa.

I am an Anime Fan,, A concerned Anime Fan, I have written this letter because, for one,, I represent what the others call as "the minority" , yeah, we are the Anime minority,, Everytime we do petitions on the ABS-CBN Messageboards, All the management do is to snub us, Why?? because WE BELONG TO THE MINORITY,, ABS thinks that their ANIME SHOWS is not a major part of their Programming Circuit,, and here is the proof:1. The management ONLY PUTS REGIONAL NEWS PROGRAMS ON THE ANIME BLOCK(4:00 to 6:00 pm) and this is the reason why the other network lags them behind in terms of Anime,, THEY ONLY SHOW THEIR ANIME ON SOME PARTS OF LUZON ONLY. The network thinks that there are no people who watch anime on those areas,, well, they are wrong.2. They never did any aggressive campaign on Anime UNLIKE THE OTHER NETWORK. ABS thinks that they are only wasting money, time and effort on these "shows" they call as KIDS PROGRAMS, well they are wrong,, Anime are not like Kids shows,, they cater to us, the teen audience. To come back to the ratings game?? WHY ARE THEY LISTENING TO THE FANS OF F4 WHILE THEY ARE GIVING US A DEAF EAR??

I am an Anime Fan,, A concerned Anime Fan, I have written this letter because, for one,, I represent what the others call as "the minority" , yeah, we are the Anime minority,, Everytime we do petitions on the ABS-CBN Messageboards, All the management do is to snub us, Why?? because WE BELONG TO THE MINORITY,, ABS thinks that their ANIME SHOWS is not a major part of their Programming Circuit,, and here is the proof:

1. The management ONLY PUTS REGIONAL NEWS PROGRAMS ON THE ANIME BLOCK(4:00 to 6:00 pm) and this is the reason why the other network lags them behind in terms of Anime,, THEY ONLY SHOW THEIR ANIME ON SOME PARTS OF LUZON ONLY. The network thinks that there are no people who watch anime on those areas,, well, they are wrong.
2. They never did any aggressive campaign on Anime UNLIKE THE OTHER NETWORK. ABS thinks that they are only wasting money, time and effort on these "shows" they call as KIDS PROGRAMS, well they are wrong,, Anime are not like Kids shows,, they cater to us, the teen audience. here is my stand on Anime

1. anime in ABS is good,, but, sad to say, they lack in NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE, means to say that,, they either lack in FUNDING to uplink anime via satellite or THEY JUST DONT WANT ANIME TO BE NATIONAL

2. GMA's Animes are DOWNRIGHT MEDIOCRE, meaning,, they use the mediocrity of the filipinos to say that THEIR ANIME IS NO.1 AND USE THE SURVEYS TO WATCH THEIRS... HOW SAD AND HOW TRUE

3.Badly,NO ANIME IN ABS SURVIVED GMA's ANIMES BECAUSE OF THESE like Gundam SEED and Yu-Gi-Oh,, primarily because of..

a. loss of promotion

b. no provincial output

This is about on my stand,, these are only my comments on the suffering anime industry today...
